The Sox have gone 29-11 over their last 40 games!

 

The 2005 edition went 28-12 to start the year, and had a second 28-12 stretch from May 30th to July 17th (it became 29-12 on July 18th, but then was followed up by 3 game losing streak)

 

We also won a series against Oakland.

If anyone could tell me they were feeling good going into this series with Oakland you are lying. They have owned us since 2001.

They have owned us at Oakland, but I seem to remember at least winning one series at home against them in the past five years...

Crazy how many Unearned runs there are when he pitches...

 

Also looks like CG or bust for him vs. Oakland.

One interesting thing about Buehrle, his career "run average" is 4.11 compared to his "earned run average" of 3.60. A .51 difference.

Well, I havn't exactly delved into it but I did compare it to someone with a very similar career ERA, in Roy Halladay.

 

His "run average" is 4.09 compared to his ERA of 3.65 so a .44 difference.
