Be a man for once, Jon. You not only have to pitch well, but you have to last like 7 innings for our bullpen. Grow some balls already.

BALLS TO THE WALL TIME JON.

Suck it up and get rid of these guys.

This is going to be a high scoring game.

Just figured up my all-time game thread record: 30-9.

I'm sure we can attribute their victories to you. :P

Hopefully Garland won't be, like the song says, "serving them up like John McEnroe." I think this is a very bad match-up for Jon.

Just to let everyone know, I posted in the game threads of the first two Cubs games early, didn't post in the 3rd one. I also posted early in all 3 game threads for the A's series and I did not post early in either of the Blue Jays threads. Coincidence?

Yes.

Like your record when starting game threads?

Proven fact, douche. :P

Trying to avoid a sweep with JG on the mound? Ack

Back up to yellow, soon, I fear.

Garland gave up 13 ER and 22 hits over 11.2 IP against Toronto last year--and their lineup has improved since then.

I EXPECT Garland to give up five runs tomorrow. I'd love for him to man up, pull up the panties and actually pitch, but we're talking about the reemergence of Judy here.

Yup, it might not be a long stay at blue

I vote for you to start the game threads for the next week or two.

GO GO WHITE SOX!!! Avoid the sweep tomorrow and get some positive momentum going for the upcoming series with CLE

I'm predicting a huge f***ing win tomorrow, an offensive explosion and a great start by Garland.

. . . maybe . . .

What the hell is a "Taubenhiem"?

Garland was probably our best go to guy when we needed a stopper last year, it'd be nice for him to be that guy again right here.

It's a family in a Wes Anderson movie.

Is it just me but do you panic when you know Garland is on the mound. I am praying for a turn around and for him to start playing like last season. Hawk says Jon has been off because he hasn't been putting his pitches on the inside. He needs to find his groove and fast.

Except for that Jose Contreras guy.

Maybe in the second half. Garland was the stopper last year, preventing several bad stretches, not Contreras.
