I was thinking Hoffman and Eck, but Hoffman was more of a guess.

I'm guessing too.

is it just me or is vaz getting squeezed a little?

This ump isn't doing Vazquez any favors.

BTW...the 3rd time through the order is lurking for Vazquez. Hide the women and children.

Dont worry, Ozzie in the pregame was talking about Vaz going to the 7th.

Maybe Ozzies gut told him something, or he needs tums.

This is what happens when you show you don't have control. It happens in every game.

I understand Vazquez going into the 7th inning today, after the crap our bullpen/Garland pulled yesterday.

see my post about the outside corner. Chen hangs a floater up there about 6 inches off and the ump gives it to him.

Vazquez practically has a staredown with the ump in just about every game. It wouldn't surprise if he was getting squeezed.

would you rather the score not be tied?

I would rather have a consistant approach when there are men at 1st and 3rd with one or no outs. The home runs are nice and all, but having him constantly pull the ball to the 3rd baseman for the 6-4-3 DP in big inning siutations are a bit more frustrating that the gravy from the solo homer he gives us. Hit it when men are on.

Wow, that was a beautiful pitch by Javy on the corner.

got a close call there, at least.

And the home run or nothing approach isn't going to do much when we face Santana/Liriano, etc.

Gload can't scoop for crap at first.

An here comes the 3rd time through the lineup.

*runs for cover*

Well, Vazquez is now in the 3rd time through the order. I'm sure glad our defense is picking him up today though.

The approach we had yesterday would work like a charm today. However a soft tossing lefty is too much of a distraction.

got the call there. Javy needs to stop worrying about the umps, his defense, runners on base, run support, and just focus on getting hitters out........BTW, and Gload cant dig it out

Exactly. Plus, Konerko's approach already hurt us in the 1st inning today. All he needed was a single to continue our rally.

Gload has more unsuccessful scoops this wknd than PK does all season.

Crap! Just when it looked like Vazquez was gonna cruise through two!

well at least Gload picks that one.........More runs please

Ha...way to pick him up Gload! That was a harder play, and he came through.

Will someone please explain to me why Crede and Uribe are throwing like Freddy Garcia now?

Nice.

Nice pick by Gload there on a inexcusibly bad throw by Crede.

Crede cut his hair, which explains his throwing struggles.

(yes, I know that he was having them before he cut his hair)
