White Sox got lucky

We are just better than they are. Even Kruk on ESPN says that we the Sox pitching is going good that the Sox are the best team in baseball. My hope is that our pitching has turned it around, but it will take a couple times through the rotation to be sure. We will know better by the last of August. I think we can still catch the Tigers though.

ya i checked out a few Tiger forums and i'd have to agree with RME JICO, alot of them concede that the White Sox and even the Yanks are just better than them right now and alot has to happen for them to hold onto the lead. Most of them are not saying the White Sox were lucky.

My co worker was at yesterday's game and said Anderson threw a ball into the CF stands and that a Tiger's fan caught it and threw it back at BA, barely missing him. I guess a few Sox fans pounded this guy until security arrived and kicked him out.

Anyone see this?

Thats classic, what an idiot.

There's no justice like angry-mob justice.

Anyone catch Jeff Brantley's "analysis" of the situation? First, he tells Tiger fans not to worry, that this will pass and they'll be fine and win the division. Then, in response to a question about the Red Sox, he said essentially the same thing in the same dismissive manner, stating that the Red Sox will re-group and be the wild card. So without saying it directly, he said the White Sox will miss the playoffs. Hee hee. He's just such a useless tool.

Ever since Ozzie ripped on Brantley when Brantley questioned Ozzie's move to not bring in Hermy last May he has been against the Sox. If anything just listen to Kruk, he knows how damn good we are. I can't believe i said listen to kruk!!

Brantley also said earlier this year that if he had to choose 1 player to start a team with, it would be Papelbon.

yeah, that was a pretty idiotic statement.

I saw it. The yogurt-for-brains Tigers fan was in section 101 (I think) to the right and down from where I was sitting. Brian was coming back out to CF after coming through with his RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. The crowd in right center was giving him quite an ovation. After warm-ups, Brian threw the ball into the stands where the cheering was loudest. Unfortunately, a Tiger fan caught the ball. He threw it right back onto the field, missing Brian by a few feet. He turned around and was showing off his Tigers shirt like Dee Brown in the NCAAs. The whole section turned on the guy. There was no violence that I could see, however. They just shouted the guy down. Security arrived about 5 minutes later and escorted the yogurt-for-brains from the park. Most of right center field was chanting “nah-nah, hey hey, goodbye!” after him.
