So are we going to keep tipping our caps? We tipped our cap to Hernandez and Bernero last week. How about our starters pitch well enough that the other team has to tip their cap?

Yeah. The tipping the cap crap is getting kind of old. Throw the damn caps out and play baseball.

pinch hit AJ right here, I can give a rats ass about LH v. LH

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 12:59 AM)
IMO:

we lost the heart of the whitesox clubhouse in FRANK THOMAS.

we lost the young spirited "i will run thru walls to win" AARON ROWAND.

the only guy left that is a motivated emotional leader is AJ.

I can guarantee you that Frank Thomas was anything but the heart of the Sox clubhouse.

why the f*** is sandy hitting?!?!?!

Cintron for everyday SS

bad part. sandy is up and most likely going to screw up.

good part. he doesn't lead off the 8th

Leyland's leaving Rogers in, as he wants Sandy batting here.

you gotta be kidding me!!! get his old asssss out of there!! he's terrible

So, what do you guys think -- first pitched popped up to end the inning?

If Guillen decided to leave in Rogers you know the decision would backfire. Let's see what happens with Leyland.

Hopefully we make him pay.

Grounder to 3rd is my prediction.

on paper those are tip the cap games, but watching them, none of those pitchers had their A stuff, Sox hitters played right into their hands

Alomar tries to pull the outside sinker. What a pathetic acquisition he was.

Leyland was a great job of giving his team the best chance to succeed there.

WOOT!! WAY TO GO OLD f***NUTS. I GUESS YOU THINK YOU CAN PULL THAT PITCH 5 INCHES OFF THE OUTSIDE CORNER TOO

Was about to post the same thing. Smart move.

Bring in Rodney and we had Gload or Alex or AJ to PH.

YAYYY WHITE SOX

gotta hope for a split, and im beginning to think the central is out of the question.....

or at least if we keep playing like this.

My most memorable moment of teh 2006 season...The Sandy Alomar acquisition.

this is where carrying Gload as a lefty doesn't help. If they had a similar RH player, say a Craig Wilson type, Cora could have pushed Leyland into a decision, then PH A.J. if he brought in a righty

That inning was a joke.

f*** you you peice of s*** catcher! your cancer!! hmm how funny we get you in 2001 after we win the central in 2000 and miss the playoffs. In fact from 2001-2004 while we had you we missed the playoffs. In 2000 and 2005 we made the playoffs w/o him. You guys see a pattern? This guy is useless

There's a good part to leaving the bases loaded?

What a heartless team. f*** you Alomar.

I don't think you can get more symptomatic of why our offense sucks now than that inning. Our 3-4-5 guys get on with no outs, and then even with 2 outs, a single doesn't score the runner.

Yeah. The tipping the cap crap is getting kind of old. Throw the damn caps out and play baseball.

We might as well fast forward to the end of the season when we will be tipping our caps to the Tigers and Twins while Sox players clean off their golf clubs.
