i think middlebrooks would be a great pick, if he can't cut it as a MI, he can move to the mound.

I thought he was a 3rd baseman?

did I hear a fellow redhawk was drafted by the sox? nice.

go to mlb.com s thang and click the video link. you can watch his motion and then end of his delivery is bizarre. you get a good idea from the profile view of it

Can't find it.

His follow through is kind of weird, like he is still throwing the ball even after he released it. It is a far from smooth delivery, but not necessarily bad. If it is "bad", these things can be adjusted.

As people have mentioned Russell is gone. Russell and Tyler Mach of Ok St. absolutely mashed the Big 12 this year. Russell in the 4th round is major value if he signs. He is a draft eligible soph, but could sign. The concern is that he is a Joe Borchard type. As for Mach, he played 3rd in college but they have him listed as a 2B on mlb.com. I really like Mach, another solid hitter in the 4th round.

You figure the Angels have money to spend since their first pick was in the 50's. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Middlebrooks was taken by them; making it the second straight round a talent is taken before us. Not that it's guranteed we would/will take those names, but you never know. Let's hope it's different now.

click the draft tracker - the flash thing. then go to the sox and look at Ely's info - there should be a thing that says 400k. click it.
