November 7, 200718 yr QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 04:57 PM) Don Shula is intimating that should the Patriots win the Superbowl and go undefeated, Spygate should put an asterisk next to the record. Well then the Dolphins should get an asterisk for only playing 17 games and never having to go up against the West Coast offense.
November 7, 200718 yr Author Larry Johnson maybe out for the year with a broken bone in his foot. Yikes.
November 7, 200718 yr QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 09:01 PM) Larry Johnson maybe out for the year with a broken bone in his foot. Yikes. I called it. I'll never forget the replay when A.J. Hawk rolled over his foot/ankle. Man it looked bad. Like I said, I would have been in utter shock if he just suffered a sprain.

November 7, 200718 yr I picked up Priest Holmes for a spot start this week to be funny. How about a 170 yard, 3 TD running and 85 yard, 2 TD receiving for the day. It's 2003, right?
November 8, 200718 yr http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Ruben Brown is out for the year He could be done, period.
November 9, 200718 yr So will the Bears target a replacement for Brown in FA or the draft? They need to get younger on that offensive line no doubt.
November 9, 200718 yr QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 06:10 PM) So will the Bears target a replacement for Brown in FA or the draft? They need to get younger on that offensive line no doubt. The Bears need replacements at every single position on offense except for TE.
November 9, 200718 yr The problem with the Bears is that they haven't had an impact 1st rounder in awhile. Sure, they get 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounders to be capable starters, but no real Pro Bowlers (Briggs and Brown maybe). I'll be fair and go back only 10 years: 1997 - No #1 pick 1998 - Curtis (P)Enis 1999 - Cade McC(l)own 2000 - Brian Urlacher 2001 - David Terrell 2002 - Marc Columbo 2003 - Michael Haynes, Rex Grossman 2004 - Tommie Harris 2005 - Cedric Benson 2006 - No #1 pick 2007 - Greg Olsen The guys in bold are Pro Bowlers Two in ten years of drafting #1 picks is pretty sad.
November 9, 200718 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) IMO, they should have drafted a guard is this past year's draft with their #1. Grubbs was the only guy worth such a high pick, and Baltimore beat us to him. Olsen's looking pretty good. Nothing wrong with that pick.

"Briggs and Brown maybe"? Maybe??? It's obviously unfair to include Olsen in that already. He's playing very well, anyway. And the problem's not in not getting Pro Bowl players. Decent starters are okay in the first round. Humongous busts aren't. Most of those guys who weren't Pro Bowlers couldn't even stick around the league. Columbo's the exception, but that was just rotten injury luck for us.
November 11, 200718 yr Author Cleveland looks like the real deal with the 4 of Anderson, Winslow, Edwards, and Lewis. Why does CBS have Shannon Sharper do highlights much less on their studio show at all?
November 11, 200718 yr Author QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 11, 2007 -> 01:47 PM) I predict Cedric Benson has a big game today. Laugh at me later. If we don't run wild on Oakland, we have real problems.
November 11, 200718 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 11, 2007 -> 01:47 PM) I predict Cedric Benson has a big game today. Laugh at me later. If we calibrate the term big into Benson stats.... I expect him to go for 25-100 for a TD and few dropped passes. That would be a big day for Cedric.
November 11, 200718 yr QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 11, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) Looks like Adrian Peterson just had his knee blown up He was standing on the sidelines, but wasnt moving much. Peterson took a helmet to his knee, and considering his history of injury problems.... it didnt look good.

November 11, 200718 yr Bills; that's 4 in a row. SOON TO BE 5, HA HA HA HA HA ...or not, but I can pretend
November 11, 200718 yr Griese can't even lead this team to a first down. Let the Rex or Orton show start.
November 11, 200718 yr Think about this... They had 2 weeks to come up with this offensive game plan.
