Weird. I never went to college, except for a year and a half of community college. Why? I was delusional and chose to spend all my time with my band, Misty Beethoven.

No classes before 10:00 AM as a freshman is nearly unheard of from my experience.

I didn't have a class until 12:15 on MWF my frosh year, and 11:15 on T/Thurs.

First semester I had one class a week MWF and it was a lecture from 1-1:50. My punishment was 3 classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I still only started at 10.

The last one was kind of annoying because it was at 8 in the morning and I hadn't taken Spanish in 2 years, but the rest were REALLY easy. I didn't have a single speech over 5 minutes or any papers over 5 pages. Actual speeches that I made that semester:

I know it sounds REALLY soft, but every one of those was very writing intensive. Every single one of them had 12-page papers for finals week and several other smaller ones.

Heads, are news outlets now looking for jhournalism majors? Back when I wanted to be in Journalism the advice was learn something so you could cover it well. Economics, Politics, Biology, anything. Then work your ass off on any newspaper that would take you honing your writing craft.

I took that class last year.. lots of fun. What years does yours cover? We had two different ones, one of which went from beginnings to 1970, and the other which went 1970 to present. I took the first one.

 

On Monday, Wednesday, Friday my first class starts at 9:00 and my last class ends at 3:50. On Tuesdays and Thursdays my first class starts at 8:00 and my last class goes till 4:15. So it's not that bad.

It doesn't seem bad until you get there and start taking them. If you've got class non-stop on those days, it'll suck (at least, it did for me, and I only had one day where I went 9-4:30, the rest were much nicer )

It mostly involves being a slacker, plus doing many things at once. I'd like to think I've done alright so far in college (been through fall, spring, and summer semesters and have a GPA around 3.4/3.5), but I've mostly multi-tasked a s***load and got lucky with other things.

Sounds about right. I think my class went from the roots of blues and such to Led Zeppelin. It was a lot of fun, but I had a really, really good teacher (took another class with him in the following semester).

I was thinking of actually trying college out this comming January (next year) but looking at some of these classes and knowing why school isn't for everybody, presents an intimidation factor. Ima still register though. Gotta find my future wife sometime.
