lol hawk just called broadway armstrong

He has got to learn a cut fastball. A 90 mph straight fastball won't cut it in the Cell. You and I have talked at length about how bad his mechanics got once May went by the board.

They have gotten worse every month. I honestly want him shut down for the year.

hes thrown a few changeups that have really impressed me, i thought it was a fringe type pitch, with his curve and fastball being bread and butter, but he has shown a good change if he can command it, and nice movement on the fastball

 

Crazy thought, you wonder if Broadway has a better future as a middle reliever / long reliever than a starter.

 

Obviously too soon to tell but ...

It's a changeup by Broadway, not a splitter. Matt Thornton doing his best to keep us tied with Tampa after tonight. Oh, and Cecil Cooper is as bad of a manager as Phil Garner was.

Bullpen another great job

This is someone I usually don't criticize too much, but how does Don Cooper justify having a job after the horrible performance by so many of our pitchers the last two seasons? More than anyone, he's living off of 2005.

It's funny cause Lance Broadway is 5x nastier (as far as stuff) than Paul Byrd.

I'd support moving Hawk to GM if it would keep him out of the broadcast booth.

Andy Gonzalez sucks seriously. It's also sad that Cora and Buehrle are just laughing their asses off at him.

It's amazing how little this losing has outwardly affected our players and coaches.

Andy should be running foul poles after the game. Thats what you would have to do in high school if you messed up a play like that. Its one thing if you cant get the ball out, its another if you are so gun shy you cant pull the trigger.
