Bad Floyd showed up today. Gload is such a solid hitter, we really missed him on the bench this year.

What makes you think that Gload would of played on our team. We played Timo at first instead of bringing him up before. He never played last year.

QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 19, 2007 -> 12:22 AM)
Gload is good.

I think one of the main downfalls of the team this year was the just horrible bench. Cintron's numbers won't look that bad at the end of the year, but he was worthless for the first 130 games of the season. Toby's been the worst player in baseball this season as well.

Gavin better not make our post season roster.

Nice to see we are getting the shadow starter regular ABs while Konerko gets some rest so he can be on top of his golf game in 2 weeks.

Erstad will be back, and will be a starter.

3 k's 3 runs. He truly is a tease.

My worst case scenario for next year. The sox resign Erstad, and he goes into a competition with Fields for LF. Fields out hits him, but Ozzie just loves him some grinder so they send Fields back down to AAA because they dont want to waste him on the bench.

Floyd has been the victim of bad defense already in this game. Its hard not to miss Crede with plays like that.

The big one was the ball just going off of Dye's glove in RF.

This organization has made some bonehead moves, but there is NO way that happens.

I really will be shocked to see Darin back in any capacity next season. However, I said the same thing about Pods after 06.

"I think Fields is in the mix, that's why we put him [in left field], but it's no guarantee that he's going to be our left fielder. There's no guarantee he's going to be here next year. It depends what's out there to help us. If we think Fields is the one to make this ballclub better next year, then we'll make the decision.''

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, the Sox had to rely heavily on their bench players as starters.

6 hits in 2 innings by our future starter to replace Garland. Oh well

I can only hope that quote is to push Josh. I think they might have made a mistake in just handing the job over to BA with really no competition, and they feel they got burned by it.

At least I hope thats what it is....

Why exactly is Darin starting pretty much everyday. If he wasnt going to be here, he would be sitting more. We are 2 weeks from the end of the season. Do all of these players need so much rest?

I'll always remember rolling over, half asleep, having fallen asleep with the TV on the Red Sox Royals game on to start the 2007 season, waking up and seeing Buddy Bell come to the mound and celebrate with Gil Meche as they had the biggest smiles on their faces that I've ever seen a player and manager have on the mound. It was a beautiful sight, especially since I'd just woken up.

I always remember things like the first day I met my wife, the birth of my 2 children, and course the Konerko slam in the series in person. However that phrase doesnt come to mind when remembering the Freaking KC Royals playing a team outside of the whitesox.

I love Dye taking his sweet time approaching the ball down the RF line.

His defense is really going to be unbearable next season. I don't even want to think beyond that.

Well, I have a greater memory, I guess, so I can fit all sorts of things into it. :P

So am I the only one who notices that Ross is close to being a .300 hitter, but his OBP is Erstad-like.

Even when Gload fails, he succeeds

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 18, 2007 -> 08:07 PM)
I don't have a memory like Pratt or anything, but I really can't remember the last time I saw a Thome base running blunder...

I remember a few. He's not terrible out there, but he's had some errors.

That can't be, I haven't blacked out yet.
