Rockies vs. Phillies Series thread

How about them Rockies? I love it. I hope they keep it up.

The question I have is that if they win, and the Cubs win, wouldn't the Cubs have home field in the NLCS?

I thought MLB ignored the WC winner thing and just went by record. Maybe I recall wrong though.

Rockies win and Aaron homers? I'm cool with that.

Doesn't Ozzie Guillen hate the place and didn't he say he wishes it was destroyed?

Yeah, it was kind of funny. (I, of course, don't endorse everything he says.)

For every player, writer or Sox fan you can find who hates Wrigley, I'm sure I can find a counterpart who enjoys the place. And that's all I have to add to this discussion since there is no victory and the "discussion" would be endless and mind-numbing ("Wrigley is a dump," "I like Sox Park churros," "HAIL" -- f*** that)

How you frame your argument is histerical and completely hypocritical. Anyone who disagrees with you, you portray as wrong. A stadium is a 'hot-or-cold' thing -- it's an opinion on whether someone likes it or not. The people in this thread have put up reasonable issues as to why they think Wrigley sucks -- mainly that the field, the playing surface, is in the worst condition of (arguably) any stadium in all of pro sports -- yet you respond with "Wrigley is a dump". Maybe you just don't want to deal with us lesser people who aren't on your intellectual level and continue with your condescending bulls***.

The only 2 things Wrigley Field is good for is getting drunk and finding easy chicks.

Anybody that likes Wrigley Field itself is simply an idiot. The neighborhood is a good time, but the stadium itself is the biggest hell hole in sports and has no redeeming qualities, since you can find the easy chicks just as well outside the gates as inside of them.

I am disappointed that your first post in this thread is about how much you hate Wrigley Field instead of being about HOW BIG A CHOKER CHASE UTLEY IS!!!!!!!!!1111

I've been to one game at Wrigley, that was the game against the Sox a few years ago where they had to end the game in like the 6th or 7th cause the s*** hole a field can't drain water. Worst game I've ever been to(well that and mullet night last year), never again.

Chase Utley hasn't blown 3 of the biggest games his franchise has played this decade as a pitcher like Jake Peavy has.

Let's see...some great shows on TV tonight, post-season baseball, perfectly clear evening...and my satellite goes out. Yeah...seems about right.

F**K YOU TECHNOLOGY!!!

Thats why a majority of players who are excited to play at the field for its history, are dissapointed in its condition. Its just extremely outdated in terms of baseball, and actually hurts the cubs in the long run.

Think the Rocks would trade Tulo?

Piss poor baserunning by the Phils there.

Yup. If they don't score this inning, I'm convined they will get swept.

The real NL MVP with a solo HR and a 2 run triple, and the Phils lead it.

That was huge.

JRoll is awesome.

I hope the Phillies win simply because I think this could be a classic 5 game series if they do.

Ok, a few years ago, I believe I thought Rollins's contract was a bad idea.

I stand humbly corrected.

I think it's pretty clear Rollins is the MVP as is, but when you look at Holliday's Coors Field/away splits, it becomes even more obvious that Rollins should win the award.

Stop the presses, Howard got a hit...oh wait, he GOT hit.
