November 9, 200817 yr QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 07:04 PM) The play calling with Turner always goes from surprising and effective to completely stale and predictable between series Everyone in the world knows Rex is best down the field over the middle, and yet, they haven't thrown one yet in that direction.

Im listening to the game, so my viewpoint is definitely skewed (as in, not there at all), but I havent heard Jeff Joniak say play-action yet. And thats where Rex completely excels, is off the hard fake play action. Forte has already scored a TD(albeit on the throw), and the defense is geared up for the run. I just dont understand why Turner is so schizophrenic when it comes to playcalling.

I just dont understand why Turner is so schizophrenic when it comes to playcalling. There really was very few offensive drives where Rex even had a chance. The offense was just backed up to where they had to be conservative. You can't fault Turner or Rex (his pick was great D in single coverage, although you could question whether the ball should have been thrown but thats because i just don't think you should go deep to Booker unless he's wide open). Forte has looked very good though. I expect a lot of play action in the 2nd half.
November 9, 200817 yr boy oh boy rex looks bad.....dumb penalties and lack of any passing game are really putting our field position in a tough spot Edited November 9, 200817 yr by daa84
November 9, 200817 yr Bears fans are f***ing disgraceful...shut the f*** up. Grossman is going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL and led a nice touchdown drive and made one mistake. He did miss a shot at moving the chains but nothing boo worthy. f***ing pathetic the way that guy has gotten treated.
November 9, 200817 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 03:44 PM) They are giving up that 10-12 yard over the middle pass again... we haven't even made collins move his feat ..... f***ing nate vasher has been so bad this year...i dont think its gonna be too long before his spot is gone
November 9, 200817 yr They need a better cover corner and a free safety that doesn't want to blitz every damn down.

November 9, 200817 yr Corey Graham needs to take over for Vasher, until he fixes whatever is wrong with him. And Babich needs to make some creative blitzes because front 4 arent doing it.
November 9, 200817 yr we are getting obliterated in the field position game....has grossman completed a pass for positive yardage since the first drive? Edited November 9, 200817 yr by daa84
November 9, 200817 yr Grossman is done today. I mean he will play, but he won't do anything to help us at least. Still waiting for Babich and the D to get some pressure. maybe a blitz? Still waiting for Vasher to cover anybody and get a pick like he did two years ago. Devin Hester has been horrible in KR/PR this year, I don't know how much its the blocking, but he has done nothing. I never thought I would miss Kyle Orton so much, but Grossman is just so bad.
November 9, 200817 yr grossman on first drive: 6-9 56 yards passing since: 4-11 for -2 yards....and one of em was on the tipped play
November 9, 200817 yr Heindricht (sp?) is helping tennessee win this game so much. He is giving the Bears a 90+ yard field every time. Where's Maynard?
November 9, 200817 yr QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) Heindricht (sp?) is helping tennessee win this game so much. He is giving the Bears a 90+ yard field every time. Where's Maynard? thats as much the bears O ....that was the first first down in a long time from the passing game....its tough to have good FP when you can't move the ball
November 9, 200817 yr '06 Rex prolly hits Devin Hester there ala Berrian that year. At least GB is losing, I am more afraid of them than Minny. Edited November 9, 200817 yr by maggsmaggs
November 9, 200817 yr REX HAS TO MAKE THAT THROW....the bears have been waiting all game to hit that play....play action deep to hester and rex misses him wide open...ugh

It doesnt matter when it happens, if Grossman make 1 mistake, he is booed unmercifully. Every time.
November 9, 200817 yr QUOTE (daa84 @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 02:11 PM) my god....grossman missing open receivers left and right Didnt Rasheid Davis drop the last pass? Thats what Joniak said
November 9, 200817 yr QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 03:13 PM) Didnt Rasheid Davis drop the last pass? Thats what Joniak said No, it was thrown behind him and high so he only really get one hand on it.
