how did the bears get three straight home games twice?

Packers @ Bears, Dec 22, Monday Night Football, My 21st Birthday...Oh, I'll be there!

really like how Tampa Bay's schedule plays out.

I don't want to bust a nut just yet, but the Bills schedule looks very favorable; if they can put some things together defensively (and offensively for that matter) they have a shot at being pretty damn solid. Can't wait for the draft.

Citing a source familiar with the situation, the Newark Star-Ledger reports Jeremy Shockey told the Giants last December that he wanted "a changed role in the offense or a trade to another team."

Shockey allegedly threatened to sit out the upcoming season if neither request was granted. He feels that his career is being cut short by the blocking emphasis installed by head coach Tom Coughlin and believes he was used more effectively under former coach Jim Fassel and offensive coordinator Sean Payton. What kind of leverage does Shockey have now? His team wins the Super Bowl witout him. Not only without him, but the young back up was very solid in his absence.

Yikes;

How serious are the Cincinnati Bengals about not giving in to Chad Johnson's trade demands?

Serious enough to swat away an offer from the Washington Redskins that could have netted the Bengals two first round draft picks, team and league sources said.

The Redskins offered this year's first round pick, No. 21 overall, and a conditional third rounder in 2009 that could escalate to a first rounder if Johnson and the Redskins hit certain performance levels, the sources said.

It was not the first time the Redskins approached the Bengals about a deal but it was the first significant proposal.

The Bengals have not only rejected the Redskins, but two other NFC East suitors -- the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles -- have been informed that there has been no change in the team's position that Johnson will not be traded.

The Bengals have noted to those suitors that Johnson has been the "second-highest paid receiver" in the NFL during the past three years, indignant about suggestions that Johnson also wants a new contract, the sources said.

Trading Johnson also would mean Cincinnati would take an $8 million salary cap hit, but that amount could be split over the next two years. Additionally, as one anonymous owner told ESPN.com, "There's nothing wrong with dead money. It's cash already paid and it's cash back in your pocket that you don't have to spend, especially with the [high] amount of everyone's salary cap these days."

LOL, those Redskins just HATE holding on to those draft picks

Bengals are morons for refusing

Redskins are morons for offering

Jake's a beast. It's a good choice. Will have an easy job since Miami doesn't have a QB to protect.

I don't know if hes going straight to LT or playing RT for the first year, either way, our offensive line went from pretty meh to one of the best in the league now..

Pending Long is as beastly as he was in college

Oh you'll get to see it..

They already were decent last year.. now they add the best lineman in the draft to Vernon Carey and Samson Satele and they signed Justin Smiley..

As long as Jake Long doesn't prove to be a colossal bust like Gallery, they will have one of the best lines in the league..

Shaun Alexander has been released.

Boldin demands trade.

The Cowboys would give up their 2nd 1st rounder for either Boldin or Roy Williams for sure.

Not good news for whoever the Bears QB will be;

The Chiefs have agreed to trade DE Jared Allen to the Vikings.

Allen has some off-field concerns, but it's rare to see one of the top defensive players in the league traded as he's entering his peak. Allen fills a huge need and should be a terror on turf in Minnesota. The deal will be finalized Wednesday, but a contract and trade agreement are in place. Kansas City is expected to get Minnesota's No. 17 overall pick and more, probably a third-round pick. They could now look at DE (Chris Long or Vernon Gholston) with their fifth pick. Allen should get less money than Dwight Freeney, but should be receiving a mega-deal.

Ex-con need a job, look to the Dallas Cowboys. Titans and Boys agree in principal for deal with PacMan Jones.

.........

Massive risk, but we have argubly the best off the field program to keep people like him in line e.g TO and Tank Johnson.

Having a CB group of Jones (if re-instated), Newman, Henry and probably a 1st round choice in Talib or Cason is going to be pretty good.
