That hasn't changed.

2 in the 9th and the Giants win.

That minor league pitcher is horrible. Game Ova.

Ova. Coulda won if we put an actual pitcher in the game.

Floyd with a good outing though, encouraging even against a light hitting team.

UGH. ahh well, time for the wknd commencing drink. Cheers y'all...

Im not trying to accuse or anything here, just spit ballin, but does anyone find it strange that I-Roid is leading the league in HR so far? This is a guy who hit 11 all season last year.

A Sox executive told my friend that Pudge went back to his former "trainer".

he pitched around some jams, which was nice to see. That curve is very effective against lefties. the fastball...not so much.

If I'm not mistaken, he is in his free agency walk year. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

I like that he has a couple of different curves.

Theres one of the ones im talking about, its like a little slurve that breaks in on righties and falls outside on lefties. That thing is nasty. His change also dives in on righties at times. When he figures out how to use all of those to hit some bad bats and confuse hitters, hes going to be good. I just hope that happens.

Fields moving the runner over.

Does the catcher dropping a swing & miss strike 3 count as advancing the runner?

Yeah, obviously you havent gotten to the part in the game when he does it.

Nor will I. It's practice. Although, after making a comeback the way they did today, it would have been nice if Ozzie would have put a major league pitcher in there to close it out. Even though it's practice, giving games away isn't something the Sox need practice doing. They perfected that last season.

Well a nice outing for Floyd today, albeit against a pretty weak offensive team.

Hopefully that's the type of pitcher we see when the season starts.

I'd also like to see Bourgeois make the team over Uribe (if you could trade Juan, with Ramirez as the backup SS option).

Sox would have won if the ball didn't take a ridiculous hop right into Phillips' face.

Just heard on the radio that Floyd pitched well... those of you who watched it can you elaborate... thank you.

I would tend to give Floyd the benefit of the doubt if he actually had a track record of success. His only real success was last year in a few games vs. Detroit, when they had a depleted lineup. What we are seeing from him is what he has always displayed. It just bothers me that Kenny is putting so much faith in 2 pitchers who have never proven anything and one who had a really bad year last year. The fact that we can't seem to produce runs again is also bothersome. I guess this is just my spring panic, but I don't want to see what we saw last year.

Floyd had a 3.19 ERA in September last year, and 6 of his 10 starts were quality starts. I'm not debating anything, because any and all can have their own opinions of Floyd, but he wasn't as bad as a few people seem to remember him being. He didn't pitch give up 5 homers every game.

Gavin as our 5th starter is going to be a huge mistake. He stunk it up in Philly (I've seen about 95% of his starts/appearances with Philly) and still hasn't even improved from that.

I hope our 5th starter isn't on the team yet because if so, it's going to be a long season every 5th day.

You know, I know Gavin Floyd ran over your dog, but the only reason you come on here is to knock him.

Not sure there's anything wrong with that, except that you have some sort of weird obsession with Floyd.

I like that they are practicing doing the right things in game situations like moving players over and hitting the sac fly.
