Quick observation: I'm thrilled to see Ozzie not have OC bunt before. With Konerko slumping, it would have likely taken the bat out of Thome's hands.

Gotcha...I was confused. And that was one of the farther hit balls I've ever seen. That thing was an absolute monster. Anyone remember when Thomas hit that homer in Tampa back early in the Rays days (when Thomas was still in or close to his prime). I think they said it would have gone like practically 600 feet had it not hit something on the roof or hanging from the roof.
