I'm blatantly stealing Kalapse's sig, but CQ deserves to be on the All-Star team after a month of play, yet, he's not on the All-Star ballot. Write him in. Vote early and vote often. It's your duty as a Chicagoan and a Chicago fan.

As Sox fans, we've exerted our will on the MLB voting systems in the past. Let's keep it going.

Of course I voted for him.

Baseball seriously needs to rethink how they do this when they have a guy who has been DL/AAA all year on the ballot over a guy who has started pretty much every game. Oh, and the fact that this started in April...

Of course I voted for him.

Heck I vote for all White Sox players up to 25 times and that includes Uribe :gosox3:

voted for CQ about 31 times even though there's a 25 vote limit

I would but Iam not sold on him yet. :D

I am in love with a man, this man.

  • 2 weeks later...

.293 BA, 10 HR, 34 RBI, .401 OBP, .586 SLG, sexiest player in the league.

Gotta give it up. Well done (so far) KW!

Not sure we even need to do anything. Carlos is going to get to the All Star game by himself.

It's a real shame he's not on the ballot though, as of right now he deserves to start.

It doesn't make the least bit of sense. 1) Why the hell do they put the All-Star ballots out so early? 2) Why in the f***ing universe do they take the teams' projected line-ups during spring training. Thanks to the computer!, which is now commonly used both at home and in the office, it would be very easy to get the teams' all-star candidates 14 minutes before the ballot goes out, rather than 2 months. Complete morons.

f***ing A this was such a great acqusition ....booze and all...the guy does it all........true to da cardinal pimpin f***in quentin

Amen to this. :headbang

IIRC the teams submit the names and position.

Why so early? Paper ballots at the ballpark would be my guess. Printing up a few million of anything has to take some time.

Just imagine if he was on the D-Backs producing like this.

Wow.

But yes, he's a stud, and most importantly, he's staying healthy.

Might as well do this 25 more times to kill 10 minutes...

Carlos Quentin = Jose Canseco sans steroids.... well they kinda look similar.

Lets hope that Carlos pulls down tail like Jose did (google Jessica Canseco, probably NSFW).

Here's the link to vote. Do it now.

Funny picture from Soxmachine:

Yeah, had to steal that for the sig.

VOTE FOR THE GREAT Q-DINI!!!!

I'm calling out everyone who visits the site today (Friday, May 23) to vote for CQ 5 times or more. It won't take you long.

Can replace that Pad your post count thread with a Pad your Post Count after you voted for CQ Thread?

25 really does not take long either since you only have to complete the ballot once and then click a few times to have it register each additional time.

BTW, what do you say we take this further? Why don't we draft a note for all season ticket holders to forward to their ticket reps basically stating that we are part of Soxtalk and trying to build a strong showing for Quentin. Since Owens is not on the ballot, it would be nice if the Sox personnel handing out the ballots at the park say something like, "don't forget to write in Carlos Quention." Further, maybe the Sox could use the jumbotron to lobby fans to vote for their favorite Sox players and again, "don't forget to write in Carlos Quentin." Hell, the "Punch AJ" campaign was so successful with T-shirts and all, you would think a "Write Carlos" T-shirt could work as well since he has become such a heartthrob even to heterosexual soxtalk males. :D

It would be great if they had a table in the concourse area manned by someone with a premade stamp customized to fit CQ's name in the allotted space. I do not know if MLB would allow voting to be influenced to that level, though.
