Damn, BA got a fastball down the middle and grounds out.

Anderson isn't keeping his hands in and is going around the ball, which is really hurting him offensively.

Anderson isn't a good baseball player.

I am so happy Jose Contreras is good again. I really admire Contreras.

I have a big zone, but i haven't had any problem with the ump. I'm fine with his zone and i just hope he calls it consistent for both teams.

yeah hes been consistent i agree..i have no problem with him either..i was just saying i think the espn zone always tries to make the umps look good....if he wants to call 2 inches off i have no problem with it....as long as he does it for both teams which he has...no qualms at all about the ump from me...i just think sometimes espn k zone takes those extra 2 inches and makes them into balls over the plate when they arent

Contreras was pissed on that ball one call.

Wow back up the middle, nice start for Alexei.

im basically ready to just say uribe can stay on the DL for the year

Steal 2nd!!!

That was a poor AB by AJ.

quentins awesome

CQ is good.

We might be 10 games below .500 if not for CQ.

The offense got ahold of that.

Super Q!

God I hate Joe Morgan.

with my mom and sister as witnesses I called that CQ homer .. woooooooooooooooot ... Go Quentin!!

I hope Gage never predicts a big night for Q.

Well that's tied quickly.

Typical. Seems whenever we score first, our pitchers give it right back.

Just got back from a long day of family functions. I see that CQ continues to rule, our starting pitching keeps us in games, and Swisher/Thome are worthless.

You can see Anderson, on the pitch, he brings his hands a bit outside and than back in and it prevents him from hitting the ball with any authority.

Morgan has brought up a very astute point regarding Jose Contreras telegraphing his fastball when he drops sidearm. 90% of the time that is all he's throwing from that arm slot and I'm surprised we haven't seen him throw more changeups out of that spot (to at least ensure hitters have to stay honest). For the most part he hasn't gotten too sidearm happy, but I've noticed it a bit more from him tonight.

Luckily he's had pretty damn good command as well as velocity. He's really looking good.

Wow, I'd have called that a strike on Rivera.

3 1-2-3 innings so far from JC.
