Do you cornhole?

Featured Replies

I had played it a few times over the years but over the holiday I played alot of it and found it extremely addicting. For those that dont know what game Iam speaking of its beanbags.I got into it so competitively I was argueing with a 12 year old on the rules when the beanbag is only halfway on the box.I guess my point is its the perfect bbq game. All ages can compete with each other, you can play better the more you drink, you can play it while eating, and there is no chance of getting injured. And it is a really fun game that takes a little bit of skill and finesse.

i enjoy playing the game, although i'm admittedly uncomfortable with its name.

Those are pretty cool boards chaos.I bought my sox boards from the grandstand for like $80.I should have just made them but the ones I bought close up into their own carrying case which is pretty convienent.

But after that first time, basically when I would get this urge . . .

I prefer washers, but same concept. And what is that game called with the ladder like deal and two balls in ropes?

and knight, waaaay too much info

heh heh... cornhole... gross.

I know three people who have their own Cornhole sets. Two White Sox and one Cowboys (no accounting for taste).

It's a fantastic tailgate game and I love it!

Yes, I play. It's a nice summer BBQ game that anybody can play.

I played on my bags Sunday and got my ass kicked. Sometimes I just can't find my arm slot. :)

My friends and I decided in July '05 if anyone bags all four bags they get to autograph the board and nobody has done it yet. A boatload of 3's but that 4th one never comes through.

I love playing Cornhole. It's perfect for tailgaiting or if you are just hanging out outside.

For some reason I thought this was the "J4L is headed for the slammer" thread.

Haha, same thing happened to me on Sunday. First time I played in months and obviously needed more practice.

I've only seen four in a row once, and I've been playing for quite a long time. What's funny about it is I was the opponent and hit three in the hole and one on the board, so he only had two points from that round. :headbang

What I love about the game is all the small factors which affect everything. The wind can influence a throw. Since most boards are different, you may have to compensate for a high recoil effect or a slippery surface. If you've played for awhile with a set of bags, there's usually some difference between them. And there's always that one bag that's noticeably lighter than the others and its impossible to consistently throw it on the board.

It's also a limited skill activity. Anyone can play -- even women!

As opposed to the Toyota Prius deadlifts you perform at tailgating?

Toyota Prius? Only GHEYS deadlift that.

I deadlift Ford Excursions.

Touche.

Bags are sweet, but it really depends on the boards/bag combo how good the game is. I hate huge bags filled with rice or beads or whatever that only are good for people who 'flop/spin (aka throw like a girl)', I prefer sand and a board that doesn't slide em everywhere where you can naturally 'throw'

Ladder golf is a really fun game, like it a lot. Washers on the other hand, I find pretty boring, and pretty impossible. I've never seen anyone play it with any sort of success.
