Now that's the kind of game you'd like to win.

Carlos Quentin flexes his muscles. Get this man to the all-star game already. Same with Dye.

Only bad part of today's game...Javier Vazquez and his inability to control his pitches.

I'll tolerate him having a bad month if he steps it back up soon and people bail him out. Time for some more Coop/Javy sessions.

Great performance and way for the O and the 'pen to pick up Javy. A sweep would be a nice response, but even 2/3 is a nice response to last weekend's embarrassment.

With Mark Buehrle on the mound tomorrow, there is no consolation prize.

Javy seemed to straighten out until that bad hop single by DLee past OC...that seemed to scramble his brains a tad...

I really think he is tipping his pitches. If you notice, most of the damage done against him is from the stretch, just like the one writer/scout for Pittsburgh noticed. Once DLee got that lucky single, he started getting hit again from the stretch.

He needs to find what exactly he is doing to tip his pitches, and then to make sure opposing players will stop looking for any "tips", he should make off as if he is going to throw a breaking ball but then fire a fastball underneath their chin.

I don't think it's that he's tipping his pitches, it's just that he isn't as good out of the stretch. It's pretty common. Floyd has had that problem too. He can't get the same release point and the same push off the rubber like he has out of the wind-up.
