Thats just strange.

Awful games on today, at least a few of them gave us decent finishes.

Florida/S. Carolina and Minnesota/Wisconsin are on right now. This is awful.

The UNC/Maryland game was good!

3 losses on the year now for UNC. Coaching staff blew their 3rd game of the year. Butch is a hell of a recruiter, but his gameday coaching decisions are terrifying.

as a Miami fan, I feel your pain about Butch and his gameday coaching abilities. There is a reason why he was called Botch Davis while he was in Coral Gables.

USC is playing like horses***. Last week, they only beat Cal @ USC by 14, and right now, they're down a TD against Stanford @ Stanford at the end of the 1st with only 5 total yards and no first downs. Right now, this team doesn't deserve a BCS game.

Where I live, I wasn't getting that game.

hey UNC, do Miami a favor and lose :D

Yep, that's just what "we" did. Plenty of oppurtunities to salt that one away, instead the Terps hung around and made the big plays when they had to. Tough loss, but nobody to blame but theirself.

NIU blew out Kent State tonight 42-14 in a classic Northeast Ohio snowstorm. We're 6-5 now, and will at least have a realistic shot at a bowl if we can beat Navy at Huskie Stadium next week.

To RockRaines video post:

That play was just filthy. I was so embarrassed as a fan when that happened. I dont even think #4 got a hand on him. And Illinois has to be embarrassed about this year, just no heart. I miss Leman.

Down here in Texas, the talk is basically the Big 12, and especially the Big 12 South is the best football conference in the country. That shouldn't be too controversial. But they are starting to talk of all time.

Thoughts?

Any Texas fans on here? What do yo think of Muschamp working out a deal to be the next Head Coach after Mack Brown retires? I really liked him at first, but in all seriousness, is the Texas defense really that better this year? They still seem to be giving up a lot of points to good teams.

As a Texas Tech fan, I'm all for Muschamp taking over. His defenses have been iffy, and he's not the same recruiter that Mack Brown is. I can't stand Mack Brown because he whines all the time, but he's a dang good coach/recruiter.

As for the Big 12 South as the best conference ever, it's a good arguing point right now, but we will see how Texas Tech, UT, OU, and Ok State fare in their bowl games. It's really ridiculous that only 2 teams from the Big 12 will be in the BCS.

Basically if Texas Tech loses on Saturday, they won't be in a BCS bowl unless Oklahoma State beats OU to finish the season. Texas Tech would be 11-1 and ranked at 5 or 6 and sitting in the freaking Cotton Bowl instead.

The only thing keeping me from saying its the best conference ever is the lack of defense, TT, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State all have pretty poor defense.

Texas Tech's defense is actually only giving up 355 yards a game in conference, next closest is Texas at 374.4, and Texas Tech's D is 4th in the nation in interceptions.

The defense being good is the reason why Tech finally broke through this year.

I'm just excited Mizzou gets another shot at these teams. They've done a good job of making Tech look not like Tech the last 2 years.

OSU running over UofI

Nice run, but what's the "block in the back" rule in college? Because 3 of the main blocks seemed to be that.

and the clusterf*** known as the ACC continues.

I believe ranked ACC teams are 3-11 this season now that my Canes fumbled away the chance to play for a BCS game.

Mizzou, regardless of who they play in the Big 12 Title game (you guys are officially in now right?) can completely screw the BCS by winning that game. I think they might just do it too.

Man the Pac-Ten is going to be bad. Great win for Michigan too.

Yeah. I already bought my tickets. It's official.

One of my friends showed me a site that had a scenario where the Big 12 could get 3 teams in. BCS 1 vs. 2 are Big 12 and Mizzou wins the title. I don't believe the scenario. Obviously, this is with a million teams losing.

No conference can get 3 teams in the BCS, it's an official rule. A dumb rule, just as automatic bids for the ACC and Big East is, but a rule nonetheless.

Yes they can with 2 teams in the title game. Here is the scenario:

1.) Oklahoma beats Tech this weekend

2.) All three Big 12 one-loss teams win in the final weekend (assuming they're playing)

3.) Missouri beats whomever they face in the Big 12 Championship.

4.) Alabama or Florida or both lose to Auburn or Florida St. respectively in the last week of the season.

5.) The team that lost in the last week of the season - Alabama or Florida - beats the the other team in the SEC championship.

6.) USC's loss to Oregon St. stays fresh in voter's minds.
