No you din't. You need the accent on the the RO in the middle as the PA guy used to say it when he came in the game.. I probably should have put a few more Os in it also. That's what I meant to say. I've never been much aof a splllerr.

He did not play for the White Sox. He nearly signed with the White Sox after being waived by the Athletics because he went off on Finley, but chose the Red Sox instead.

I didn't think he did. But guys come and go sometimes (no juvenile comments needed :) ) and you forget some of them.

If he makes the real list, I'll agree with you. :P

Agreed. I was at the game in Baltimore during 2006 when he hit a 9th inning grand slam to win it. Most certainly one of my favorite games I've ever been to.

In honor of the Mariners in town...Jaime Burke.

But for reals...Craig Graebeck.

Former Sox player Tim Hulett's son, Tug, played today for the M's. I couldn't help but make the connection to Tug and Tim McGraw.

Easily no. 1 in my book. Some other names include Jeff Abbott and Mark L. Johnson. Charles Johnson is up there as well.

Who the hell is Larry Monroe?

I've always liked Greg Norton, partly because I played "catch" with him during pre-game from my hotel window at the SkyDome. I also felt bad for him because of his messed-up family situation.

I'd like to add Ivan Calderon to this list, although I don't know if he's "obscure" enough.

LOL, I don't think anyone else has even mentioned Canseco.

I haven't hear much love for the 83' Winning Ugly team. I guess 25 years ago is a long time for most on here.

I'll edit this and amend it to pitchers on the 83'' team that I haven't seen mentioned.

One of the greatest sports nicknames of all time:

Warren "The Deacon" Newsom.
