They've been awesome all year but today Quentin, Dye and Alexei have combined to go

 

0-9, 4K, 2 GIDP, 15 LOB

they squandered too much early and ozzie f***ed up by leaving danks in to start the inning. oh well...they don't have a closer - keep it close and anything can happen.

I can't remember the last time Dye delivered in a situation like this. This has been a whole team failure so far tonight.

 

Are you including Danks? He didn't pitch his best, but c'mon.

balfour didnt throw a f***ing thing but a fastball for a strike and we couldn't touch it....goddamnit

 

stupid outs tonight are killing us....we ran ourselves out of an inning with quentin and dye due up and then another failed bunt cost us...ugh

still got 6 outs.

BTW...superb managing by Maddon tonight.

Its just disheartening to have 9 hits and 5 BB through 7 and only 2 runs (b/c of a 2-run HR ).

And we're still in it, somehow. It'd be nice to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat, instead of snatching a loss from the jaws of victory, which we've seen plenty of in the last month.

Wow Dotel....that's embarrassing. The opposition is definitely catching up to his fastball now.
