It was great to see this team give away a possible win to only comeback to win a game they should have lost. Huge momentum heading into tomorrow's strange DH.

Upton caught a fly ball in CF that Aj tagged on and moved into second base. If Upton had fielded it normally AJ doesnt get to second and they turn a double play on the next at bat.

 

Instead the crazy run down happen, AJ gets on third and Sox win.

 

 

Great win! Hopefully this gives the boys a lot of confidence going into Baltimore. Time to start a winning streak.

 

 

 

Needed a little help from the umps but got it done. TB was 68-0 leading after 8. MN 64-0 leading after 8 , currently ahead of Angels 3-1 in the 7th where the Angels are 14-3 and 11 straight in day home games. Angels trying to rally now.

That's debatable . He ran the ball down in the right center gap and he did make the mistake of thinking AJ wouldn't tag and trotting further into the gap once he caught it . If he fields it normally he's still got some momentum carrying him into the left center gap. AJ might've tagged anyway. 3-2 Twins now heading to the 8th.

AJ very well may have the highest "Baseball IQ" in the league. I've never seen anybody exploit other players' weaknesses and use the rulebook to his advantage in the way that he does.

 

I haven't seen Jenks pitch on a regular basis, but is that two-seamer/sinker new? I know that he has that hook and a slider and believe that I've seen him throw a two-seamer before, but never with that much movement.

 

It really shouldn't have been that difficult today but for poor defense, and we should have won yesterday, but it was nice to see Paulie, Jenks, and Lexi come up big to get us a win. Let's get first place back tomorrow by winning two, regardless of what the Twins do.
