He has been fairly one sided. I felt like Saunders was getting pitches Danks and Ramirez was not. Meanwhile, the Sox will have to give K Rod another blown save. Two blown saves in a row is a bit much to ask for IMHO.

I really think this series went well, even if we lose, but I REALLY don't want it to end with Rodriguez celebrating on the mound.

I'm watching the game on Angels broadcast and they think JD made the right play because if he let's that ball drop and the batter then comes back to hit a single and score 2 runs instead,they think it shows that it means you believe in your offense with all that power...Angel announcers keep harping on the belief that the sox can score runs in a hurry with the long ball,they are impressed with our power up and down our lineup.

 

I would say it was the "sound" baseball move, its like taking points off the board in football... but our team isn't exactly consistent and this Angels bullpen is pretty solid. Its a damned if you do, damned if you don't move... I didn't think we were going to strike against this bullpen twice in two days, so I would have taken my chances.

agreed, at this point they have done nothng but gain on the Twins. Lets keep our fingers crossed that the Detroit bullpen can hold one down

Yep, especially with the way our offense has looked today, and of course the Angels bullpen. Did anyone expect to score within the next six outs? We needed to hope to extend the game and scrape a run out, a la last night.

Agreed, that was over the top. I don't understand the hate for Hawk in this forum though. I watch all the games on MLB.TV and I get to see all the announcers for all the teams and most of them are absolutely pathetic with personalities of a grapefruit...at least Hawk has some personality

If we're ahead, then catch it.

 

If it's the 4th inning, then catch it.

 

If you're in a tie game, against a good Angels team, with knowledge of Minnesota losing, in the f***ing 8th inning, you let it drop. Probability suggests he'll record an out, and I'm sure the numbers are still in the favor that with 1 out the runner doesn't score. Otherwise, if you're Dye, you better have all the confidence you're going to make up for it next time up.

 

It may not even matter with the way Linebrick is throwing 90mph meat up at the plate.
