It's been so much more fun watching the Royals the last two days, as they can at least hit the ball. I'm pumped knowing I can root for Manny, Howard, Utley, etc. when I cheer against the Cubs.

If we lose out I'd almost rather have the entire staff fired. We can't have this lingering over our heads in 2009.

 

If we lose out, I have to say I won't be upset if Ozzie, Walker, and Cooper are all let go. Granted that won't solve all of our problems, we'd still have to clean house with most of our roster.

This entire team needs to be broken up. But...but...the white sox lead the majors in HRs. This s*** can't continue...and the long ball is sexy and all...but at some point, f***in Greg Walker still needs to be held accountable. It's been this way the last 5 years or so...

That made me laugh. After he got called out, Dye just stared at the umpire -- different approach than the other guys. Pods used to prance out to left. Swish slowly takes off his batting gloves and helmet, touches his gamer eyeblack, and says something hilariously Swishlike.

I think we're just going to hear some crazy, terrible things about the clubhouse in the weeks to come. I don't think OC will go quietly.

I'm pretty sure the Indians could call up any single A pitcher and they'd go seven strong against the Sox.

What a bunch of selfish, crappy ballplayers. If they would have won one game the past five days, we would be very confident right now. 2 we'd be in the playoffs. But wow is all you can say. A lot of these better go away next year especially Swisher who "contagious" enthusiasm for the game is clearly working.

With Cooper getting the results he has out of Danks, Floyd, Thornton, etc., I just don't think letting Cooper go has any effect.

 

Maybe he would leave if the rest of the coaches resigned or were fired, but he should have plenty of opportunities throughout baseball available to him.

My housemate just told me there is a better chance of a party bus filled with playmates showing up at our house than the White Sox coming back....unfortunately he's right.

 

 

 

Gee, look at Richard out there. It's not like he could have started a couple of games and we could have avoided all this four-man rotation crap.

He supposedly had chances to go to Jacksonville and possibly the Steelers/Lions/Ravens between 2002-2004. I think he's just burned out and having trouble getting his second wind...and he's never been a great recruiter. His one very strong recruiting class has been highlighted by Chicago players like Christensen, Doerring, Richardson and Moeaki has had very little or no impact. Almost unbelieveable, because the guy was like God and beloved, could have run for governor three or four years ago and won.

I think his NFL stock has dropped significantly. His success was taking guys not all that highly recruited and coaching the crap out of him. He was an offensive line guru. Dallas Clark was a walk on. Bob Sanders wasn't a highly nationally ranked recruit. The legal troubles seem to have quieted. While blowing today's game, they have looked better this season, and are playing with an inexperienced sophomore QB. I think if he eventually leaves, it won't be until the team is going well again, and if Iowa fires him, unless there are some more scandles, they are kidding themselves if they think they will find a better coach. I don't see how they can bring in someone better unless Bobby Stoops is sick of Oklahoma.

I've been looking forward to the Hawks season anyway, but this pathetic showing the Sox have "graced" us with over the past 5 days only makes me want hockey back that much more.
