This team doesn't believe in stringing walks and hits together. Home runs, baby!

Two things that can help you understand the 2008 White Sox. Chicks dig the long ball and a short fall.

You know who's had a nice year? Swish.

Swish will make a dumb face after his at bat......Book it!

The White Sox have to get more speed next year, and will need a lead off guy. They need to keep power. You need power at USCF.

6 outs to score 5 runs. Not gonna happen.

I mean, this is ridiculous.

Let's keep playing Swisher against a LHP, and not a RHP.

I know he sucks, but play Owens tomorrow and bat him lead off.

Wow.

s***ty approaches up there again.

Shocking.

I bet Alexi is getting an ear full from Walker for walking instead of swinging for the fences on any pitch.

I hate that stupid "Rowdie" effect they play.

Its not even the correct way to spell rowdy.

If AJ goes to left, he has a hit. Obviously that talk is heresy.

Maybe we should sign Usein Bolt and lead him off? They do it in football and he cant be any worse at getting on base then some of the guys we got.

Thank the stripper cheerleaders in The Replacements.

While I'm not a big fan of Swisher, in a way I kind of feel sorry for him right now.

It seems like we've been talking about adding a lead off guy every year. Other than Pods in 05, we've never had a lead off guy. My guess we won't end up with anybody good at that position.

I don't think Williams has much flexibility in improving this team.

Going into the final weekend it was the Twins and Indians (Possibly Tigers, however that's looking more and more unlikeley) vs. the Royals and White Sox. The Royals are carrying us.

I think that's the attitude that's gotten them into trouble. It's not a big park, so why not get guys who have a line drive approach? With the small park, a lot of those line drives will go out anyway. But more importantly, the team is less likely to slump and will be better on the road.

A good example of building wisely with that kind of park is the Phillies. Yes, they have Burrell and Howard, but the rest of their lineup is filled with guys like Victorino, Rollins and Utley, all line-drive hitters. And they hit plenty of home runs.

The Sox are not alone in falling prey to the idea that a small park means you need power. But I have never understood why teams in smaller parks feel like they have to get big thumpers up and down their lineup -- home runs will come in these places WITHOUT going for power guys.
