Sign Freddy.. we need a starter (or 2) this offseason.

No kidding, I would'nt have minded him coming to us this year when Contreras went down. We could've used another pitcher instead of this 3 days rest stuff.

Did Leyland say that everyone was available today? (e.g. Verlander, Rogers, etc)? I assume those guys need a helluva lot more time to warm up but just wondering if we have their REAL pen or the chance of facing any of their starters

Gallaraga IS a starter

I bet you 1/2 the teams in the league right now would have knocked him out today by the 4th inning.

Especially those f***ing suck ass Twinksters.........

I guess seeing who was brought in I just answered my own question

Put Verlander in.

I like Thome's chances against Galarraga more than I did vs Garcia.

Completely different mentality starting than relieving, so hopefully Gallaraga is cold and takes a while to loosen up. JD better hit behind Wise.

I was flamed for suggesting this earlier in the year, but I'd take Freddy Garcia over Vazquez pretty easily.

Granted, he was facing the White Sox but still...

s***,I'd give the Tigers Javy right now for FG,he steps up in big games.

yaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwn how many pitches does this guy need

lol normally I don't like Thome's chances in the clutch, but he did hit a walk off against Los Angeles not too long ago.

LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD...

I wish Jermaine would hit a HR, there has to be a dying child somewhere in search of a miracle.... screw that kid. I'm selfish and I want my mediocre team to play another day, we need that miracle.

LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD...

SHE TOOK THE MIDNIGHT TRAIN GOING ANYWHERE...

This thread is going to be huge. Over 1200 posts with three more innings to go. It may eclipse 2000, which has only be reached one time in Soxtalk history -- Game 3 of the WS.

And yes, I took the time to look through the archives.

Be patient JD.
