f***ing pathetic anti-clutch offense. A bunch of pussies who don't want to swing the bat.

Why does everyone love Swish so much? He must lead the league in called 3rd strikes.

curve ball right down the gut. Yeah Nick, b**** all you like. That ball should've been swung at.

He was clearly looking for Ball 4. That looked like Strike 3 to me.

You have to swing the bat on anything close. He didn't, and TB on the verge of being up 2-0.

well you cant get anymore lazier than that. 6 pitches, 0 swings.

Swisher and Thome both bug me.

They wait and wait, hoping to walk, then end up K'ing.

The guy has sucked this season.

What is Buckner's vendetta against the Sox?

What a f***in joke.

But he sees a lot of pitches so its okay. And he is good clubhouse perosn. (sarcasm)

We need to give these assholes the 3-0 green light.

GET TOSSED OZZIE! That was not a f***ing strike. f*** YOU CB!

You're nuts...that was a brilliant curveball...Swisher got done by Howell.

Howell has thrown some great pitches...this aint on the umpires at all. Its a joke to suggest it...

i'm ok with losing games like yesterday. i'm not ok with losing because of an umpire.

you try swinging the bat with a Tampa Bay Umpire behind the plate

Even pro-Rays Reynolds acknowledges that Howell got silly calls that inning.

I like Dye-Konerko-Thome against Wheeler in the ninth if the Sox can hold the Rays in the 8th.

I gotta good feeling.

Now that was some funny s*** right there. :P

Sorry, Swisher had already seen ball 4 and ball 5 that AB.

Some of those calls this inning weren't even close. Ozzie just bent over and took s***ty umping this last week.

He's been calling questionable strikes for 8 innings now. When will the offense realize this and protect the plate when it's close?

Okay- they love him because "he is a good clubhouse" guy and he's funny and good with the media and keeps people relaxed and all that BS. Otherwise- he's the biggest disappointment of the year for the Sox IMO.

Our laughable offense is the reason we lost this game.

I don't understand these guys, but I accept it. Hard to think they'll magically flip a switch at this point.

strike 1 and 2 were balls.

Yes, some of those pitches were not strikes, but especially with two strikes you can't be looking for an ump to save you.

If it's close enough to be called a strike, even incorrectly, it's close enough to take a swing at.

Stand up there with the tying run on base and you take 6 pitches and never swing once? Bulls***.

You have know idea what you are talking about. according to the zone on tv and gameday I have counted 8 pitches the last 2 innings that were called strikes that were really balls.

Stop blaming the f***ing umps. It happens in every damn game. Sometimes it hurts us, sometimes it helps. Maybe you guys should actually blame to people who are really at fault, the hitters.

Wait, of course not. Some of you will never do that. Who am I trying to kid?
