If Getz would've been able to bunt the guy over to 3rd, then that would've been a good play.

I don't want to do the moneyball debate thing again, but i'm inclined to say that a basehit would of done just fine.

Looks like Poreda's added about 7 MPH on his fastball, tossing 'em up there at 104 MPH.

They squared him up pretty well that inning.

104??? Poreda may have just met a little thing we like to call adrenaline. This reminds me of when Jenks turned it back on VS the Twins in game 163. Also, probably a mistake on the radar gun, but it didn't stop me from making that previous point

Hard to follow on GameDay when it's delayed a bit. So Eider Torres and Fields failed to get him in then? It seemed to me like Broussard got him over to 2nd or 3rd...so the passed ball got him to 2nd? Well, it doesn't matter, they didn't score/execute.

 

Well this sucks, you know when you don't get the runner in from 3rd and less than 2 outs that the next inning you will inevitably give up a run or two.
