April 8, 200916 yr As of right now, the Bulls, Hawks, Sox and Cubs all qualified for the playoffs in their last season of play. I don't think that many Chicago teams have ever made the playoffs all in one season. Do people think that both baseball teams could do it again this year, plus adding the Bears to the list? Has anywhere ever had this many teams in the playoffs at once?
April 8, 200916 yr Do people think that both baseball teams could do it again this year, plus adding the Bears to the list? very much a possibility
April 8, 200916 yr A year that the Bears have actually got a franchise QB is a year that absolutely anything can f***in happen. If THAT is possible anything is possible.
April 8, 200916 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 11:26 AM) The Sox may be the only team to not make it. Blasphemy....burn him at the stake...

April 8, 200916 yr I don't think the Bears will win the NFC North (Vikings will), but I think they can still get a wildcard spot, unless the NFC South and NFC East is really good again this season. The Sox are the biggest wildcard.
April 8, 200916 yr 1984 Everyone made it but the Sox I don't think it has ever happened with all five teams because last year was the first time in a long time the Sox and Cubs made it in the same year. Someone want to do more research?

The Sox are the biggest wildcard. Vikings??? With the great Sage Rosenfels as their QB? I don't think so. And why stop there? What about the Fire? How about the Shamrox? Sky? Bandits? Etc.... Let's get ALL of our local teams in the playoffs in 2009!

April 8, 200916 yr QUOTE (RibbieRubarb @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) 1984 Everyone made it but the Sox I don't think it has ever happened with all five teams because last year was the first time in a long time the Sox and Cubs made it in the same year. Someone want to do more research? In 2005, the Bulls, Bears, and Sox all made it. The Blackhawks didn't even play and Cubs did not. That was the closest year that it's happened in my lifetime.
April 9, 200916 yr QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 04:50 PM) Vikings??? With the great Sage Rosenfels as their QB? I don't think so. And why stop there? What about the Fire? How about the Shamrox? Sky? Bandits? Etc.... Let's get ALL of our local teams in the playoffs in 2009! The Vikings have the best RB in the NFL, and one of the best defenses in the NFL. And Rosenfals is an upgrade on Tavaris Jackson and Gus Freotte without a doubt. They SHOULD win the NFC North. EDIT: But then again, Brad Childress could stuff it all up.
April 17, 200916 yr Author This was the first year since 1997 that both the Bulls and Hawks made it in the same year...
April 21, 200916 yr QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) It actually has happened once, 1906. that turned out wonderfully
