If the bears could get Boldin for the 49th overall pick... they have to do it. I agree that you build a team through the draft... but who would you rather have at 49? Hakeem Nicks or Anquan Boldin? Massaqoui? Robiskie? Iglesias? or Boldin?

 

I understand that Washington has tried and failed at that approach, but i think they went about it all the wrong way. I still think that when a an all-pro caliber player (in his prime) becomes available you have to give it serious thought.

 

If the Cards will take the 49th overall for Boldin... lock it in and watch the Bears light up the NFC.

 

**** Note -- I still think the Cards will get more than a 2nd for Boldin but you still gotta kick the tires and see if a deal could get done.

Unless they get the defense right it doesn't matter if you add Boldin and Fitzgerald, they prolly wont be winning anything.

I wasn't trying to say that you can easily grab a star receiver in the 2nd round, you just made it seem like you couldn't. You can find a good WR anywhere in the draft, that all depends on your scouting etc. and some luck. Its not just limited to the 2nd round.

 

Either way, I think it would be smarter for the Bears to keep that second round pick and work on their defense if they are going to get serious about making this team an elite threat.

Pretty interesting mock draft there. I really liked how the Yahoo! guy had the Bucs drafting LeSean McCoy in the second. That would be a great pick up since the Bucs dont even have a second round pick! haha. Guess that's why that writer is at Yahoo.

Nicks is the guy I want too. He's strong, physical and will go out and get the football. I think he has a chance to be one of those guys that isn't amazingly quick but finds ways to make plays. Much like TO and Boldin do. I don't know if he can or will but thats who I want. I'll get excited over almost any WR, but Nicks is the guy that excites me the most and otherwise I have no problem moving down and taking Mike Wallace later on purely because of his measurables.

I can see Denver moving up to #8 if Sanchez is still out there.

I'm on the Nicks bandwagon as well. Head he put on weight though.
