anyone else feel like this 4 team logjam at the top of the AL central is going to be this way thru most of the summer? Or do you see some team breaking away?

someone will break away from the rest of the pack, mauer comes back for the twins soon and they're 3-0 in 1-run games, they could be the team to do it despite being under .500 right now

Linebrink has been such a disappointment! :gosoxretro:

Raised his ERA to 1.29 today.

What a loser that guy is.

It will be a 5 game, as Cleveland's not bad. After 3 weeks, I think the Tigers have the best team in the AL Central. Galarraga is proving last year wasn't a fluke, and their bullpen is significantly better this year (as is their defense).

I agree - the tigers look the best. a healthy zoom makes a big difference too.

I don't see it...the Twins are -23 in run differential, so their record is way better than it actually should be all things considered. The Tigers are the only team of the top three teams with + double digit run diff, the Sox and the Royals are the other two.

I really hope Ozzie doesn't let AJP face Downs in the 9th inning. Like I said earlier, if you're not going to play Betemit against a tough righty like Halladay, then you might as well not have him on the roster and file a sexual assault charge by the Yankees.

Lyon should be decent for them, and Perry is an upgrade. Also the simple fact they can't pitch Todd Jones is an upgrade.

Oh god, here we go again with run differentials.

Why is it every year we still hear "The Twins are better than their expected record?" Here's a hint. They come from behind to win games late, have a rock solid closer, and don't have a feast or famine lineup.

And they're not the type of team to go apes*** and win games 15-2 very often due to hitting 5 homers in a game.

Let's score! :gosoxretro:

Just some awful at bats since Anderson's great AB to lead off the 5th. I can't believe Ozzie's letting AJ bat here.

Two down, that was quick.

I think the Twins will be the ones to get hot. They have done a good job of treading water with Mauer out. He'll make a big difference.

Haha, AJ grounds out to SS on first pitch. Well done Ozzie

Hit a homer Alexei. Anderson's had a great series. Owens is in...don't even think of stealing.

Come on AR!

BA continues to hit.

The White Sox are the only team I think I've ever seem PR for their CF without an injury. Its been going on for years.

PRing Ownes for the sake of a move?

Over.

Damn, I thought that was gone off the bat. Good game for Contreras and Anderson....one of the worst games ever for AJP and Dye.

The good news is Contreras looked good. The Sox weren't supposed to be in this game. The Sox had some chances early they f***ed up on.

The great S. Downs with the save!

This is a game that the sox should have won. I knew those runners we left on in the first would come back to bite us.

How far did Alexei fly out?

The great S. Downs with the save!

Downs has been fantastic for the past few years. Get a clue.
