Clayton is taking his sweet ass time.

I was very happy for CQ to not throw him out at 2nd base. They are absolutely destroying every pitch over the plate.

can't contreras be moved to the pen? would he accept that?

He'd be of no use to this team out of the pen, it doesn't suit him as a pitcher and he doesn't have the stuff to make it work.

he's better off going on the disabled list or being optioned to AAA.

Ozzie the brilliant strategist...

Telling the pitchers to keep giving up hits to stretch out the inning in hope of a rainout.

Sox, Bulls and Hawks all sucking tonight! Not good. :gosoxretro:

might as well let them keep hitting and hope the rain happens soon.

9-1...pull Richard and save 5 minutes! Our 5th starter/long relief situation is pathetic this year. Richard's fastball is way down from last year.

Coops out there "just put it on a tee, it's going to rain."

Seriously, you better hope. The heavy rain is right on the doorstep of the ballpark.

Call this f***ing game!

Damn, 4th inning is over. Maybe the worst pitched inning of the season.

what happens if it ends at 4? do over? I don't remember the rules.

And it is about to get really heavy. Like I said, you almost hope for a re-rack, but you KNOW with them up 6-1 they will sit their ass all night.

Once the game starts I believe it's the umpires call on whether or not to postpone the game.

Yes, it would be postponed. They'll do their best to get this top of the inning going right now.

Yep, do over.

RAIN DELAY, YES!

Jose is the end of the line I'm afraid.

Rain all night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :gosox1:

RAIN DELAY! BOOM!

extremely happy to see this delay.

If it's a do-over, we could possibly see Jose DL'd or sent down and try to have a new pitcher up by tomorrow, without losing a game in the process.

Shut up Alex. I'm about to have to build a damn ark - it is balls out pouring for the fourth time today. We've had about 6 inches of rain where I live.

We need some lightning... that always freaks out umps... and maybe threat of a funnel cloud.

That ought to do it.

Come on mother nature. Bail us out.

RAIN DELAY, YES!

Thank me very much.

what's the point of a trip to the DL? I would think it has to be charlotte to work out whatever is happening. I still applaud the guy for getting back so soon. Maybe it's just too soon. (or maybe he's too old).
