It'd be nice to see an aggregate ERA for pitchers making their first start in the majors, and first start against various teams. I wonder if other teams struggle as much as we seem to.

K. Farmer seems to think the pitcher is working us over pretty well, and I'd tend to agree, based on Beckham's performance.

Same thing he said last 6 times Sox were shutout this year!

well to be fair Anderson was the third ranked pitching prospect in the majors this past offseason by baseball america....so he's not a complete nobody...nonetheless its very frustrating to be getting shutout by rookie after rookie

Beckham was murdering highly ranked pitching prospects a week ago.

His ERA coming in to the game was still around 5.60 though

Maybe if he bunted more, the guys behind him would hit HRs.

I get your point I am a dumbass that knows nothing. Beckham is GOD and we are scoring at will. I will keep my opinion to myself as obviously I was wrong. Adam Kennedy probably would have homered and Holliday would have as well and then Giambi would have K'd

He's been up and down this year -- pitched well vs. Texas, Tampa Bay, and Seattle, poorly against Anaheim, Detroit, and Texas.

I cannot think of 1 other team that can be shut out this many times, this early in the year and NO real changes of any kind. Someone has to be on the chopping block this is unacceptable for any organization! :gosox3:
