January 22, 201016 yr QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 09:16 AM) Lebron is king. Guy is starting to fully blossom. Starting?
January 22, 201016 yr lol - true, but I mean go to the next level, be the finisher, prime, he's going to win it all this year.

January 22, 201016 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) I'd still let him shoot from 3 point range all day before I let him get around me and go to the hole. He's shooting over 40% from out there. I don't disagree, but he will kill you from anywhere.
January 23, 201016 yr Lebron is the best player in the league. That's not up for debate anymore, IMO. But how good is Kevin Durant? It was obvious at Texas he was gonna be a stud. But I didn't think he would be THIS cold THIS quick. He arguably has the most complete offensive arsenal in the league. It would've been nice to have won the lottery in 2007 instead of 2008. Of course, we probably take Oden. Which couldn't have really been debated at the time. Edited January 23, 201016 yr by Jordan4life
January 23, 201016 yr Durant's terrible defensively though. He works on that, he'll be mentioned in the same bracket as Kobe and Lebron IMO.
January 23, 201016 yr QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 09:03 PM) Durant's terrible defensively though. He works on that, he'll be mentioned in the same bracket as Kobe and Lebron IMO. True. But I don't remember many people raving about Lebron's D in year 3. Kobe's always been an overrated defender. But point taken. But I'm not sure there's a more gifted offensive player in the league.

January 23, 201016 yr QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) Kobe Bryant says hello... I did say it was arguable. But at the very least you can say Durant is in the discussion for top offensive player in the league. I certainly didn't predict that for him less than 3 years into his career.
January 23, 201016 yr Jesus it's nice to watch Rose play night in and night out. What a game he had (Deng, Noah, etc.. were solid too). And even though I hate Kirk Hinrich, I gotta admit he was very good defensively against Nash tonight. Total team win, though I have to imagine they will be tired tomorrow against Houston. Rose played what 43 minutes?
January 23, 201016 yr QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) Kobe Bryant says hello... Nah I'm also gonna say Lebron is the best player in the league. On top of that I'd say if we're talking best offensive players, you've gotta throw Carmelo into the discussion IMO.

On top of that I'd say if we're talking best offensive players, you've gotta throw Carmelo into the discussion IMO. Stats are obviously not everything. But Lebron puts Kobe to shame in just about every statistical category (standard and advanced) that there is. That just can't be overlooked, IMO. Yeah, Kobe's been around longer and he's got the four rings. But there really is no legitimate argument one can make for Kobe currently being a better player than Lebron.

LBJ needs to show me more of a killer instinct.
January 23, 201016 yr QUOTE (NIUSox @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) Aaron Gray says hello... He'll be the tallest meat slicer in the world in 5 years or less.

I was agreeing with you on Lebron being the best player in the league actually. I just had this debate with a couple of friends who are Lakers friends just 2 nights ago. QUOTE (SockMe @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 11:43 AM) That Posterization by D Rose was the best I ever seen It was nice, but I wouldn't say it was that great. I've seen Rose do better.
January 23, 201016 yr LeBron is great, but he is a 30% shooter from 3's and 75% from the free throw line. Easily the best going to the hole, but he has some faults.
January 23, 201016 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) ...except Championships. LBJ needs to show me more of a killer instinct. More-so the killer instinct definitely. Kobe is just an assassin. LeBron most of the time would rather look for the open man than take the last shot himself (though he's been alittle better at taking them the last couple years than prior) not to mention he (Kobe) is much more professional with is why I respect him more. (doesn't show up anyone other than his game/30 points a night) Kobe is the closest thing to MJ that any of us will ever see and probably ever will. LeBron is a modern day Magic Johnson 2.0 (course bigger and stronger) QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 01:50 PM) It was nice, but I wouldn't say it was that great. I've seen Rose do better. No kidding. The one he had in high school (Simeon) against my high school (Washington) when he gave that one dude (forgot his name) a facial from the CPS championship was still crazy (I'm not even counting that dunk against that white dude on his mixtape on youtube which was just ungodly) I would say however that was the best pro dunk facial he's had so far.
