We make it easier by just saying that we're half Irish, a quarter German, and a quarter Italian. It's actually a little more diluted than that with some random other European nationalities in there. My last name comes from the German side of the family, but it actually sounds French and likely is.

We can actually trace one of our relatives back to the Mayflower.

I'm half Irish, then the rest is French, French Canadian, English, and Native American.

 

Dad's side of the family: 100% Irish. I'm 3rd generation on that side of the family, and my Irish family were Irish Catholics from County Armagh, Northern Ireland.

 

Mom's side: Mom's dad's family were of English descent and in America since the Revolutionary War, and I had an ancestort hat fought in that war. My mom's mom's mom's family were from Paris, France then moved to Mobile, Alabama and fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War. And my mom's mom's dad's family were French settlers in Quebec and my great-grandfather was half Native American from some tribe we don't know about.

I'm mostly German and Croatian, but if it's a country in Europe then it is likely somewhere in me.
