I turned it off when we were down 11 with about 3 minutes left, came back to see what the final was and saw we won, and texted Rowand. Too funny.

 

They held San Diego to 1 for 5 in the final 3 minutes and didnt put them on the free throw line once, which is amazing because they were over the limit and already put them there for 32 free throws. Hell of a comeback, even if it is against a WCC team that was predicted to be 7th.

 

This team can score, if they finally can get back a bit of their floorburn U identity they could do some damage

Yup. I turned off the game as well and proceeded to chuck my headphones at my wall. Decided I was going to check Salukitalk to see the final and I read "Fay for the win." I was beyond confused. f***in awesome.

Pretty damn solid day for the league yesterday. Would have been nice if Creighton could have pulled that one out at New Mexico and Drake lost the battle of the suck against Iowa but still a nice day for the Valley.

Two completely different halves. We started to care in the 2nd half, it was amazing how much different the defensive intensity was in the 2nd half, you could tell from the first possession in the 2nd half that we were a different team. I have no f***in clue why this team needs a wake up call every god damn game but that goes back to the mental lapses I've been talking about with you. It'd be freakin nice if we can get healthy though, we only played 7 scholarship players in the 2nd half cause of injuries, making that comeback even more impressive.

 

And ya, USD isn't anything special but they do have a few solid wins and they're by far our best win so far so this was a huge W for us.

Well i guess were back to the good ole days of Saluki Basketball where they keep you in it til the last second. This team is frustrating but w/e, we're 7-2...somehow

Right now, we're seemingly a team who plays like garbage for the majority of a game and mans up when we need to. Oh ya, and we have the best player on the court no matter what when Kevin is out there. He's just ridiculous, as a sophomore...

 

We need to stop this crap though, there is absolutely no reason for this. Don't get me wrong, I'm f***in ecstatic we've gotten these wins but we're a lot more talented than these f***ers, this shouldn't be happening. Oh ya, and we need to get healthy. Having 7 healthy scholarship players right now is rough.

Redbirds finish up conference play 9-2, next game is next tuesday vs 11-1 Wichita State @ redbird arena. It's going to be real fun.

 

Also tonight's(last nights technically) game was the 300th game for the redbirds at redbird arena. They are 219-81 in those 300 games.
