October 1, 200916 yr QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 12:46 PM) I love the city of Chicago and I love the Olympics. Tomorrow could be a greater day that October 26, 2005. really????? wow.....i'm not for the olympics here, but even if I was, I dont see how the two could even compare
October 1, 200916 yr QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) Somebody should start the poll on who gets it. its that time. Done.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 12:40 PM) When 2016 rolls around I'll be 33 Ya, I'll be 30 when it hits. Generally I would love to see everything (especially the beautiful women tourist flocking in ) but I'll be old, busted and maybe even married.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 10:27 PM) Ya, I'll be 30 when it hits. Generally I would love to see everything (especially the beautiful women tourist flocking in ) but I'll be old, busted and maybe even married. Being 30 doesn't hurt getting women, especially if you make money. Marriage is sort of a problem. I'll be married in a year, so that's a guarantee for me.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 12:40 PM) When 2016 rolls around I'll be 33 asshole, I'll be as old as BigEd, YASNY, and FlaSoxxJim
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 10:25 PM) asshole, I'll be as old as BigEd, YASNY, and FlaSoxxJim How old is dirt, exactly?
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) How old is dirt, exactly? 6000 years old.
October 2, 200916 yr Does anyone have a list of the celebs who are going to Copenhagen ? (besides Oprah and the Obama's)
October 2, 200916 yr If your up and have nothing better you can watch the different presentations live here: http://www.universalsports.com/mediaPlayer...db_oem_id=23000 I forgot to mention that Chicago's presentation is going on right now. Edited October 2, 200916 yr by whitesoxfan99
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 02:24 AM) Are all these presentations so cheesy? Yeah this is awful. I laughed when the one guy started his speech "Legacy is defined as..." That's junior high caliber class president speech.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 11:25 PM) asshole, I'll be as old as BigEd, YASNY, and FlaSoxxJim At that point, you'll basically hate everything and then forget that it happened. So the Olympics really don't pertain to you.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (Baines3 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 12:33 AM) I'll be 59 in 2016, Uggh!!! I'll be 53 and far, far away from Chicago for those two weeks if Chicago "wins" the Olympics.
October 2, 200916 yr From what I've read the morning, most of the Chicago presentation was sort of flat and meh, but that the two Obamas did pretty well. Chicago's presentation lacked the focus of the other ones, supposedly. I've only seen clips so far.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 06:39 AM) From what I've read the morning, most of the Chicago presentation was sort of flat and meh, but that the two Obamas did pretty well. Chicago's presentation lacked the focus of the other ones, supposedly. I've only seen clips so far. WHAT???? The eloquent, focused, aristocratic Mayor of Chicago didn't NAIL IT????? NOT BUYING IT!!!! [/mega-green]
October 2, 200916 yr Daley was probably his usual condescending self. I don't think I've ever heard him speak without sounding like an asshole.
October 2, 200916 yr I hope the Windy City gets it. I will be visiting you guys with my family for sure. I will rooting silently for Cuba because my kids will be rooting for USA. I always want it to attend an Olympic game.
October 2, 200916 yr My friend worked the Beijing Olympics. She said 20 minutes before breaking, I believe his own, world record, Hussain Bolt was eating a 20 pc chicken nuggets, goes out with his shoe untied and breaks it. God I'd love to see him run. edit: This is just an olympics story, Don't really expect him to be as fast 8 years from the last, but whatever. Edited October 2, 200916 yr by bmags
October 2, 200916 yr Trib says that the announcement of the first vote, if no one gets 50% (likely), and who gets dropped, will be at 10:10am Chicago time.
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 09:23 AM) Trib says that the announcement of the first vote, if no one gets 50% (likely), and who gets dropped, will be at 10:10am Chicago time. Tokyo or Madrid first?
October 2, 200916 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 09:26 AM) Tokyo or Madrid first? Last night, everything I saw said that the feeling was, Tokyo was out of it. But that was before the final presentations, so, you never know for sure.
October 2, 200916 yr Just for fun, here are some predictions from.... psychics. Of the three interviewed, 2 say Chicago, one says Rio.
