just turned it on. now i see thornton and pena are warming up in the pen. often time ozzie or coop like to warm up pitchers that wont even pitch in the game. not really sure what the point of it is.

We have 6 games left against Detroit....even if we go 5-1 in those games, we have a realistic shot. If we could sweep those games, its almost a dead heat.

But now having a really s***ty September means that players important to our future (Beckham, Getz/Nix , Quentin, Rios, Alexei) are playing badly. In 07 we were so chocked full of awful it didn't matter. I didn't care if Andy Gonzalez/Erstad sucked.

The only player on that list who I am worried about is Rios. I think Alexei will be fine (although he might be better suited back at 2B), Beckham will be fine, Getz is what he is, Q will be fine is he stays healthy, and Nix isn't all that important IMO.
