April 18, 201016 yr Two pop outs for Mets. Why are they swinging against Mather? Lucky to get another sac fly.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) Wow, Mets only get one again. Unfortunately no Pujols this inning so the Cards likely won't score. I can't even decipher the box score to see who is due up. Lopez, Ryan, Schumacher?
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) 20 innings, holy hell. Where you been? Ha
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 11:07 PM) Damnit!~ that sucks it would have been awesome if it would have went to the next inning
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 10:00 PM) Where you been? Ha I was studying for my exam on Monday...? I also noticed that Jimenez throw a no hitter...Damn, what a historic day.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 10:09 PM) I was studying for my exam on Monday...? That's what Sundays are for.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) That's what Sundays are for. I have other plans for tomorrow.
April 18, 201016 yr MLB.com comment that I thought was funny: I don't really want to discuss this game other than to say that LaRussa is a drunk and a steroid enabler who is more interested in showing what a genius he is rather than trying to win a game -- the things he did in this game made Manuel look like Gil Hodges. Jerry for once did the right things -- it wasn't his fault that Wright and Bay and some of these other guys had their heads up their asses. I hope the Cardinals lose the Wild Card by one game, then LaRussa can get go out and get drunk again with his pal McGwire and they can both go f*** themselves!! Go Mets!!
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 10:58 PM) MLB.com comment that I thought was funny: All those comments are the suck.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) All those comments are the suck. I liked the comparing Manuel to Gil Hodges when talking about LaRussa's pitching decisions.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) Ubaldo Jimenez no hits the braves! Congratulations! One of my favorite young pitchers in the game. Nasty stuff he's got though he's prone to the walk as we all can see. Congrats though. Love the Rockies.

Love the Rockies. Here's a doozie for ya: Ubaldo, Kershaw or Hanson? Also, have there ever been Co-CY winners? Because we're definitely headed down that avenue in the NL. April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 11:30 PM) Here's a doozie for ya: Ubaldo, Kershaw or Hanson? Are you asking me who I'd rather have or who I personally like? In either case, your killin me smalls.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) Are you asking me who I'd rather have or who I personally like? In either case, your killin me smalls. I was on one of the ESPN fantasy boards yesterday. There was a thread asking for people to rank the #3 in their personel order. I have no idea how I'd rank those three. Kershaw is my favorite. But that's a tough one.
April 18, 201016 yr Anyone see that Vicente Padilla hit on Aaron Rowand? http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/video/pl...tent_id=7491673 Wound up suffering two small fractures in his left cheekbone and a mild concussion.
April 18, 201016 yr I get the feeling that when all is said and done the NL will be the tougher league this year. I think Boston is going to slip a little and other than the Yankees and maybe Tampa the AL looks to have a lot of average to slightly above average teams. Sadly the White Sox offensive decision making the off season is going to keep them from pulling away.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 11:30 PM) Also, have there ever been Co-CY winners? Because we're definitely headed down that avenue in the NL. 1969. Mike Cuellar (Bal) and Denny McLain (Det) tied for the Cy Young.
April 18, 201016 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 01:17 PM) Don't tell that to Steve. We aren't allowed to overreact to the Sox having a terrible first 8 games but he can make an assessment on a pitcher after 2 starts. That's weak, man. It's like no one remembers the 4.91 era the dude put up over 32 starts with the Yanks his last go around, or the 4.84 he had with the Sox his first year here, or the 4.67 he had with the Sox in his final year here. He dominated the NL East, but in the AL he has never been an above average pitcher.

I'm pretty sure he dominated the AL at least through the All-Star game in his first year with the Yankees.
