He's one of my idols. I've never cared about "character." Can you help my team win baseball games? That's all that matters to me.

Well, when I think criminal, I think violence. But people been hating on Bonds way before the perjury case. And I'm certainly in no position to judge somebody on illegal drug use.

I remember when i was station in Japan we went to the games when after the season was over MLB would send a semi all star team to Japan to play the japanese all stars . one year Bonds was on the team and it was easy to meet the players and get autographs . Well most Japanese want to just take pictures of the players especially with the player and Bonds who was famous over there was being asked to be in peoples pictures oh god he just went off yelling at these Japanese people being a total ass even other players on that team like OLD Robin Ventura and many others were just shocked and embaresed by the whole thing even apologizing for Bonds . Also Bonds had his own entourage and in the hotel had one floor all for him while other players were 2 to a room and as we talked to most other players not one had anything good to say about Bonds . If they didn't say something bad about him they would just laugh at your question and say its only for 2 weeks . yeah he would be a great pick up

We play to win the games. I'd consider it.

As a baseball fan I'd love it. I'm just not sure I want him on the Sox though.

They could always leak interest to the press to guage what kind of reaction they would get.

 

But honestly, given the time off this guy has had, wouldn't it just be easier to sign Jimmy? I can't see Bonds outperforming Thome by much at this stage in his career and his life, and Jimmy comes with good will instead of all this media controversy.

I would LOVE it, but unfortunately it won't happen.

He hasn't played in over two years.

 

This is the worst idea I think I have ever seen since I've followed SoxTalk. I thought we were going young. Why not the Big Hurt too?
