Yeah I'm really finding myself rooting for Canada. They care about this. Americans don't give a s***. They just like beating Canada.

Stop being anti-conformity and have some pride in your country.

And for those of us that don't normally watch hockey, it's been pretty damn entertaining.

Some stunned silence in the Canadian crowd. :)

I'll admit that the humiliation of all things Canadian is part of my rooting interest.

I'm just rooting for the culture it will have the biggest effect on. I'm sorry but no one here will care tomorrow either way except for the 25 real hockey fans and the players. This is everything to the Canucks.

if you were born and raised in the usa and you're rooting for canada you're a piece of s***. bottom line.

Yeah because if Luongo could just catch the damn puck the game would be over..

Im rooting for Canada, you can think what you will of that but just because you were born and raised in the USA it doesn't mean you are required to only like USA teams..

No one here will care tomorrow? Tell that to the 1980 team.

Way different circumstances. The importance of that game had very little to do with hockey.

I still think if you're an American hockey fan, if something can happen that can make hockey more important to Americans, and, especially, the WWLIS or any other sports media in America, I would think you'd want that.

A win will only add to the general cultural feeling of complete superiority for a lot of Americans. That's gotta count for something.

Some people just like the extra attention....

Its your country, really pathetic to root for Canada vs USA. If they were facing Russia or whoever else its fine but otherwise......

I'm not a hockey fan. So I'm rooting for Canada. If other people weren't watching this I'd be watching Nuggets/Lakers.

That's the exact reason I'm rooting for the Canadians. I can't stand that mindset.

this is a young, fun USA hockey team. Fans who don't normally watch hockey are into it. My mother knows who patrick kane is todat. Some new fans of the NHL are being bron. This is great.

Exactly. Me too. I hate these new fangled hockey fans that I had never seen in my entire life that act like this is so big for them. Also, we already "won" the olympics, Canada can have hockey. It's their thing.

So basically you aren't allowed to be a fan of anything non US if you are an american? Got it.

Easy now...

A US win or a game-winning goal by Toews or Keith would be fine with me.

edit and no matter who wins, this has been a hell of a game.
