All 1B are good at that it seems now. Gone are the days of Frank Thomas playing 1B.

 

while i agree that most 1B have the ability to pick the ball out of the dirt, I really think that PK's skills in that area are well above avg. He consistently makes tough plays that others wouldn't be able to.

I would. We have Omar on the bench and could bring him in to bunt and stay in the game defensively. I'd rather do that if that was our plan.

So, you bunt with Beckham with a great base stealer on the bases when we need 1 run, but you don't bunt with Teahen when you need 1 run with a guy who can steal but not as often?
