No matter how this ends, we've been playing some close games already this year.

just not sure being the loser in so many one run that makes me feel that great, even being in that many one run games means we don't have the offensive/defensive balance needed to win cleanly. and while we're giving one loss teams a run for their money, they might have one loss from playing teams like the sox

Thornton rocks.

1-2-3. Extra innings once again, thats 3 time on the season. Who woulda thunk it?

Well that was quick. Let's get a run or two please.

Let's win this here, boys!

extra innings again

I love our pen. . freaking filthy! C'mon offense. . get it going!

Can we have Thornton pitch every inning of every game?

Keep him out there for the 10th too! Great inning.

Dont know how many more years Matt can be Matt, but I sure will take it. Would be great to get him a ring for all he's done here.

This just in........Matt Thornton is good!

You absolutely do not give Wells anything good to hit here.

i was surprised by that FB down the middle

Let's get them here in the 10th. I really don't want to go 16 or 17 innings tonight.

*bow* great game, love these intense ones. Extra innings.

Gotta love when u have a pitcher that can make a middle of the line up look silly.

Thornton rocks.

Give the backend of our pen a lead (Santos / Putz / Thornton / Jenks) and I'll put money down on the Sox 10 times out of 10, you'd be a fool not to IMO.

Marmol's close, but i'd give it to Matt. He's got comparative stuff and better control.

I would hate to be stading 60ft away from those swings...jesus

according to Sports Illustrated last year, there wasn't a relief pitcher in all of baseball as effective as THOR.
