April 23, 201015 yr Penguins-Senators going to a 2nd OT. This whole postseason has been awesome. Now, we need to have a strong 3rd and get back to Chicago tied. This is closer to the team we have been watching all year.
April 23, 201015 yr Author Foley with a great line... "who would have thought that Boucher would beat Broduer in a playoff series at the start of it"? I thought adding Ilya made the Devils a darkhorse to steal the East. Shows what I know.

April 23, 201015 yr Author Off all guys to take a puck to the face... I can't say that I am too upset to see it be Tootoo.

April 23, 201015 yr Author QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:03 PM) HAWKS WIN HAWKS WIN! Niemi! 33 save shutout! A lot of shots, but nothing really too tough. The defense was WAY better tonight.
April 23, 201015 yr The Hawks came out and played exactly the way they needed to play. Hopefully they can take the momentum from this and win the series, but Nashville is a resilient bunch, they certainly won't lay down.
April 23, 201015 yr QUOTE (NIUSox @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) Penguins-Senators going to a 2nd OT. Make it 3 OTs now.
April 23, 201015 yr Niemi No-No!!!!! Home ice advantage is the Hawks again, right back in control. Can't really work today, just ready to head to the UC in 24 hours. Sopel is bad at hockey. Period. However, I will say that there is one thing he is really good at it and he has been doing it well all series. Sacrificing his body to block pucks. I think he leads the team in blocked shots so far and hes constantly diving all over the place. Keep it up Sopel, the Cup erases all pain.
April 23, 201015 yr Wish I had the dough for the ones that are out there. Lower level row six on the blueline. Yikes.
April 24, 201015 yr Congrats to Duncan Keith. Norris Trophy finalist (along with Mike Green...yes...Mike Green.. and Drew Doughty) If he doesn't win it, it will be a travesty IMO. Most ice time of ALL of the NHL players (and their top lines with Seabrook) not to mention most ice time in penalty kill (didn't inflate his numbers on the power play like Green) and still put up 69 points. Doughty no doubt will win several of these in the near future though. It really should be Keith in a landslide. Edited April 24, 201015 yr by SoxAce
April 24, 201015 yr Author Really nice first period. They have kept the game at their pace, and it shows.
April 24, 201015 yr That was an odd cut to commercial. Kind of like an episode of LOST. "Stoppage of play and we have a penalty on Chicago!" Cut to black
April 24, 201015 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) Pretty awful shorty to give up From the boxscore it seems the Hawks defense has been pretty awesome but Niemi has been s*** today, still got to be happy with the lead going into the final period.
April 24, 201015 yr QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) From the boxscore it seems the Hawks defense has been pretty awesome but Niemi has been s*** today, still got to be happy with the lead going into the final period. Not at all the case. Nothing he could have done on the shorty.
April 24, 201015 yr QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 03:02 PM) I'm no hockey expert, but that 2nd goal there wasn't much Niemi could do. Ya that was just an awful play by Kane there.
April 24, 201015 yr Nashville is doing a great job of closing up the slot on defense. All of our shots are coming from near the boards.
