Where you met your significant other?

Thought this would be pretty interesting since as they say you never know where you'll meet her or him.

We worked together at Quatros pizza in Carbondale. The funny thing is, we werent even interested in each other until after she left

At a burlesque show at Fizz on Lincoln Ave. It was a mutual friend's birthday and a large group of friends went there to celebrate.

EDIT: She was not in the show. She was one of the people that met up to celebrate the b-day. :P

We were both in a wedding of mutual friends in Carbondale. They are now divorced, and we will be together 7 years in September, but are not married.

Well definitely not married yet...but met my girlfriend at Six Flags.

Was the wedding at Touch of Nature? Thats where every one of my friends got married. I think I went to at least 4 weddings there in my time in Cdale

No, but I have been to weddings out there. Its really nice if the weather cooperates.

We met at a Sectional basketball game 18 years ago. Will have been married 10 years in August.

Students in grad school together, although she was from the wrong side of the tracks as it were. She was a Biological Oceanography major while I was a Marine Biology major. It's utterly amazing we were able to find enough in common to bridge that huge divide in academic interests, I know.

We actually didn't start dating until more than a year later. I was supposed to be meeting a different girl out at a bar but I had car trouble and had to hoof it so she left before I got there. My future wife was sitting at a table with friends and the seat next to her was empty so I sat down and we went from there.

That's a gutsy move

Minor-league wrestling matches, Twin Lakes, WI.

Through the Orange Krush. Very first time I met her was at the Illinois-Wake Forest pep rally before the game in December 2004.

On the street during a night of partying our freshmen year. Turned out we sat next to each other in one of our classes. We didn't date until we were seniors.

At Deloitte. Her and I started at the same time, became very good friends and it turns out we had a lot of mutual friends and grew up within 5 minutes of each other.

Freshman year roommate's best friend.

Our kids are friends and we volunteered with the same group.

My buddy was trying to hook us up through facebook and I ignored her for a couple months when she tried to IM me. 7 months later I asked her to marry me. Life is carazay.

Best friend's little sister. Knew her from like age 10, the idea didn't even occur to us until a camping trip in our twenties (that her brother was also on). Apparently she doesn't mind guys who haven't showered in a week. I'm a lucky man.

In person...O'Hare Airport, Terminal 3, Baggage Claim 5.

Please tell me you stumbled out from the baggage carousel like Kramer did in that one Seinfeld episode.

:headbang I will always remember laying in a tent, a storm howling outside, the tent bending to almost breaking, collapsing down on us, and she is laughing  .

I found my wife in a thrift store.
