I'm getting the point where just watching Peavy pitch is beginning to annoy me.

Where did his velocity go from the last start?

i mean, I'm so mad that I cant find the joke to talk about how awful Jake Peavy is.

I'm so sick and tired of that awful change-up he throws. He throws it for a ball seemingly 90% of the time. It's time to be very worried about him, as you can't use the weather argument anymore. His stuff is very mediocre, he looks like someone who is either injured, washed up, or off of PEDs.

475 ft

Bad location by Peavy and bad velocity. We're in for a long day.

Buehrle has been mediocre at best this year since that Opening Day gem, and he's kind of getting a pass on it while fans are reaming Peavy every time he goes out there, calling him a bust, etc.

He didn't say, just that he was told in ST that Peavy was hurt and he still is.

He's done some sort of move after a couple of pitches that would indicate a shoulder issue. Something isn't right. He doesn't walk this many people.

BTW, anyone else hear Terry Boers say that Jake Peavy is injured? He usually has the best sources.

I wouldn't doubt it. How exactly does a healthy starting pitcher lose 4 mph on a fastball, with an inability to throw a decent breaking ball, from September through now, if it isn't an injury?

A part of me would feel better if that was the case, so atleast there's something to explain his feminization lately on the mound. He's pitching like one of our AAA callups; scared and freightened.

He's got no location on the off-speed stuff whatsoever.

Mark's ERA = 4.68

Peavy's ERA = 7.66 (before tonight)

Well, the good news is the Twins are so good that we won't have to be disappointed for long. They are going to stomp a mud hole in this division early. They already have to be honest.

The Twins cannot win outside.

Buehrle has been mediocre, Peavy has been pathetic. Buehrle's at least pitched well enough to give us a chance to win. I hope we don't have our own Barry Zito.

Yow.

Peavy seems to flinch after each pitch. I wonder if he doesn't have some issues after being hit last year.

This is painful. I can't believe he'd be pitching this badly unless he was hurt.

I see a grand salami here.

It looks like he's starting to get better location and velocity from the windup, which makes me think it is a mechanical flaw.

I completely agree, he's not finishing his pitches at all. It's the main reason that he has no bite on his slider. They might as well DL him, as he's not helping this team right now.

can we please stop using the "F" in between Peavys initials

4.68 is mediocre and even moreso if we are talking about since Opening Day, not sure what you're trying to say. I gave no indication at all that Peavy hasn't been complete and utter s*** for us so far.

Nice 1-2 pitch

What mechanically will Peavy have to fix after this start?

Yah, seriously. We gave up Richard and 16 f***ing million bucks a year for this s***. I can't believe we're on the hook for 60 mil. I hope that doesn't cripple us the next few years.

Well, at least we get to see Sergio Santos. It's bad when I think firing KW would be better for this organization than firing Ozzie.

Something is not right here. The excuse of, its not the NL is not the issue. He isn't locating at all. His velocity is down from last start.
