Whoever acquires Mark is going to consider it a good contract.

He can still pitch.

Of course he can, just watch the 2005 DVD and you'll see how good he was. Face it, he's been pretty awful ever since his perfect game.

If we could get Allen Craig and Tyler Greene from the Cards for Mark, i'd be very pleased.

BOOM!

BECKHAM!

That a boy Gordon!

Beckham again with a solid swing.

Another hit for Beckham.

Yet a lot of people on the board wanted him sent down.

Dumb. Keep him up here baby!

Doesn't Greene suck? He went to GT, and he's a utility player in the majors.

At least Gordon's hitting; this game isn't a total waste.

Beckham is 2-3 with 2 RBI's this month. I just wanted to say something positive about Gordon.

You have no idea about the philosophy of clearing up money by unloading bad contracts.

And you have far too much faith that the 10+mil saved will be free to spend and not just shrink the payroll

Hopefully Pena will start warming up now. Last thing I want to see is Randy Williams pitching in a close game.

If you want to win this home game, you simply need to get more

than one here.

Hey we are 2 runs down, with 3 innings left, at home, anything can happen baby!

Maybe Juan will yank one off the foul pole.

Nice AB by Juan right there.

AJ with 2 hits today? AJP get greedy. You cannot hit into a DP here or pop up. You cannot!!!!

Who else remembers AJP bombing a 3 run homer off of Chris Ray in 2005? It was 2 days before Palmeiro got suspended.

Well if the payroll is only going to be a certain amount, then I'd rather it be spread out a little better instead of having an expensive pitching staff with 2 guys showing huge signs of decline.

And Quentin hit a bomb and looks to have altered his approach! Too bad about the injury to Trayce though.

Buerhle with 12 hits allowed in 5 innings and 106 pitches. I had seen the score on ESPN earlier as 4-0 Sox, but MB just couldn't handle the lead I guess. I have a feeling Joe Cowley will be calling for trades of several of our big name pitchers if this keeps up

First pitch fastball. Wish he woulda taken a hack at it.

Quick 0-2 count to pierzynski? Who would have thought.
