Who really wants him though?

 

He's not overly expensive, has a ring, is a lefty bat, will catch every day and the thought is he could easily return to his norms. A number of teams may be looking at him as a buy low veteran.

At this point, anybody on the roster not named Jake Peavy (I'm still a believer), Gordon Beckham, Alex Rios, Matt Thornton and Sergio Santos is fair game, IMO.

 

Even if you're a believer in Peavy, you should jump at the chance to trade him if someone is willing to take him.

And I don't think Buehrle is moving. His post-trade contract status would be prohibitive, and I still think the fan base would be most upset with moving him.

I'm not sure why this game is pushing me over the sell barrier, but it is.

I think you'd have better luck either playing out the string with him this year and dealing him in the offseason if you're determined to move him or let him pitch into 2011. I still think he's going to improve his numbers, right now would be the ultimate sell-low on him.

Napoli had an OPS of 1.098 last month. You're crazy.

I agree, they won't. I was saying that if you could find someone that would be willing to, then you drive Peavy to the airport.
