Nice job Paulie.

He was way too busy trying to hit the ball the opposite way there. Wasn't taking his usual good swings on the inside fastball.

shocker

how many pitches till we give up a walkoff?

and yes I am in a pissy mood

Goddamn we suck with RISP in these past few weeks.

Paulie's AB right there might have been the tipping point of the season. That could have lit a fuse big time. If we lose this game after all that, it's curtains for 2010.

well the season could have been lost there THANKS PAULIE

This has walk off written all over it.

Heart of the order here for the Twins. Ugh

It certainly does.

here comes the heartbreak

Oh boy, they have Konerko set up for the offspeed pitch.

What kind of offspeed pitch does Capps have? You would think if he had one he would have thrown it to Paulie. 7 fastballs in a row is usually not a winning game plan to Konerko.

He has a home run tonight. Killing us.

Jackson's 3 starts have not been good enough for you?

TO THIS POINT, on August 17th, 2010, it has been a great trade. Jackson's 3 starts have been FAR better than the starts Hudson gave us before the trade. So yes, from the date of the trade to now, the trade has been great. What Hudson does to NL lineups is irrelevant.

Oh no I am not saying that. Jackson has been fantastic. But we have no idea what Hudson would have given us. If upgrading the #4 starter is not enough to make the playoffs than perhaps the trade wasn't the best use of our resources. If Hudson is as good or as close to as good as Jackson next year than Jackson is not worh $8,000,000 more. The money could have been used to upgrade another position that may have gotten us in the playoffs. Simply the fact that Jackson pitches well doesn't make it a great trade.

I have a feeling of impending doom here. I really hope i'm wrong.

Massive choke by Konerko in 3 of the last 4 games in Minnesota.

No way to know what happens from here, but the tipping point for the bad, so far, is Jenks' losing the last game last time we were here.

Paulie should have faked a bunt.

I'm feeling positive vibes. The Sox have come back twice tonight. Someone has to say something positive, geez.

I don't see how anyone can rip on Paulie because he failed to come through in one at bat. Without him this year, we are likely out 10 games and the season is long over.

You guys all do...it's kind of humorous to watch the phenomenon occur...
